LOS ANGELES — Hollywood legend Jon Voight has endorsed Republican Donald J. Trump for President of the United States.
In an interview with Breitbart News Tuesday evening, the Oscar-, Emmy-, and Golden Globe-winning actor said: “I’m not someone who’s saying he’s the best of this group. I’m saying I like this guy.
“He’s an answer to our problems. We need to get behind him. The Republicans need to unite behind this man. We need somebody to go in and reconstruct us in a sort of way, get us back to where we were, who we need to be.”
Voight issued the following statement exclusively to Breitbart News:

Was fortunate to have dinner with Voight about four years ago in Hollywood when he and a friend were working on a script about colleges.
Delighted to hear this news Mazda! Voight is a man I truly admire. Now, even more.

I knew a guy who drove Jon Voight’s old LeBaron.
I love this guy. Not because he endorsed Trump but because he is a great American. If only all immigrants loved America like he does we would be a much better place.
He is also a great actor. All his stuff is top notch, real convincing acting, but he was just as good as a young man in a movie called 'The Odessa File' based on the pretty famous book.
I just checked and he was born up in Yonkers. My bad.
