Republican voters in Maine are gathering Saturday to participate in the presidential nominating caucus where pundits picked Donald Trump to win riding on the momentum he picked up on Super Tuesday and the endorsement from Maine Gov. Paul LePage. While there is a lack of polling for Saturday's elections, the results could be unpredictable as both Trump and Clinton have been weaker in caucus states that in primary states, as reported by the New York Times.
Results from Saturday's caucus will be announced by the party in Lewiston at 7 p.m. Unofficial results from Maine show Texas Sen. Ted Cruz winning in Portland as well as in Kennebec, Waldo and Hancock counties, the Bangor Daily News reports. Early results from the AP also show Cruz taking the lead in Maine.
"Let me say God bless Kansas, and God bless Maine," Cruz said during a speech at his election watch party in Idaho, Politico reported. Cruz has been declared the winner of the Kansas Republican caucus....

Oh gee.. looked at the Green Papers. That’s pretty low threshold indeed.
It’s not surprising. Caucuses are usually dominated by conservative Republicans. Donald Chump is not conservative, nor a real Republican.
You would think that Rubio would run a well-lubricated machine.

As typical the bdn got it wrong. Last poll closed at 7 pm. The results will be formerly announced about 9:30 pm. Each poll8by location counted ballots publicly and reported results as they went along. Zero press at caucus for largest city and neighboring cities in Maine.
It really is a surprise for Ted to win Maine.
Would have thought he would do better in Kentucky.
I assume we can’t “blame” this on a high concentration of evangelicals
Would really like to see those polls!!
Most others just messed up!
Would you have a link?
I think its all the canucks sneaking across the open border up there and voting for Ted, hey? “Build the Wall”!
Probably!! LOL!! If the illegal hispanic can vote, no reason the ‘canucks’ can’t vote.
Decision Desk has Cruz winner.

Maine
Ted Cruz
42.3%
Donald Trump
33.9%
Why is anything surprising with Maine?
Last poll was I think late October and Christie won?
It’s a caucus state...I think a betting man would say those favor party nominees not a man running against everyone but Breitbart Laura Ingraham and 4-5 Fox pundits
Show us the poll in Maine Ted beat
No polls for Maine since late October....which showed Christie
Only one recent KS poll showed Trump barely up past MOE but Cruz sure beat that
I think there are recent polls showing Trump up some in KY and LA
7 points or more
I’m just guessing
How did Trump win Nevada?
Oh and so far Cruz has 2 wins for tonight! Trump is a big loser so far, but I’m sure he’ll win a couple.
