GOP voters are in a fighting mood. They aren't much interested in business-as-usual, political niceties, or even conservative purity. They want someone who will take it to Washington--someone who will go there and fight for change.
Unfortunately for the rest of the Republican field, the candidate who voters overwhelmingly think will bring change to Washington is Donald Trump. South Carolina exit polling found that, among the large subsection of GOP voters who most want a candidate who "can bring change," a whopping 45 percent supported Trump, compared with only 19 percent for Ted Cruz and 16 percent for Marco Rubio.
This isn't perhaps too much of a concern for Rubio, who is the electability/establishment candidate. It's a huge concern, however, for Cruz, who has to be the "change" candidate, leaving Trump to be the mad-as-hell/outsider candidate. If Trump is both the outsider candidate and the change candidate, then Cruz is sunk....

I could handle Trump or Cruz...anyone but Rubio! I was hoping they would team up and go to Washington and raise some hell. At this point, I don’t see how it’s possible for Ted to climb out of 3rd. Trump will be in the media because he’s outrageous. Outrageous = Ratings. Rubio will be in the media because he is the GOPe’s chosen one. Have you ever seen so much attention given to a 3rd place speech. So where does that leave Cruz? I have had the various news channels on for most of the day and barely a mention of Cruz.
Still on that Canadian thing? That the best you got? As to Rubio, I hope Trump destroys Rubio. I dislike Rubio more than Trump.

Well at least we agree on something. But that Canadian thing sinks Cruz along with his voting, and nonvoting, record. He doesn’t pass the smell test.
Yes he does pass it. Cruz has a whole hellva lot voting record than Marco “The Hack” Rubio.

I am not impressed by the very special kind of stupid people who wish to express their opinion, in spite of the clearly display of their profound ignorance.
Trump is by far the superior candidate in the year of the reality star election. He has the ear of the disgusted electorate who are ready to throw the beltway careerists out on their ear. Bravo for them.
But, you assertion that Cruz is not eligible is a ranting of those who cannot defend their candidate on any other grounds. You think that they courts will save you. No. the ballot box will save you, despite you ignorance of Constitutional law.
Trump can win, but only if you go to Easter Island and stay there until the election is over. You will have lots of company.

I didn’t say he’d be giving his delegates to Marco. I said they would BOTH be finished. Cruz, and Rubio. Ted needs evangelical, conservative, and libertarian support to win, and he just doesn’t seem to have enough of it. I hope I’m wrong though. Miracles do happen. In the 2004 the Red Sox were almost finished, but went on to take care of the Yankees, so Ted is definitely not out yet.
He is out; he already endorsed Rubio, removing the entire Cruz raison detre in the race; may as well vote for Rubio who Cruz endorsed instead if one will not vote for Trump.
Ignorance? I studied Constitutional Law before you were born from the way you talk. The Canadian would never have been considered a few years ago and the constitution hasn’t changed in that respect. Prove to me anyway you can that Cruz is eligible. I want chapter and verse, not just simple minded insults.
Trump’s donations went straight to the people most responsible for giving us Obamacare.

Cruz has no path to the nomination at this point. Its effectively over for both Cruz and Amnestio as of next Tuesday.
