Charleston, S.C., As Sean Hannity stood onstage Friday with Ted Cruz before a packed audience at the College of Charleston's Sotille Theater, the Fox News host announced that "a few special guests" were backstage. "Moments before we came out here, you got a big endorsement," Hannity said. With less than 24 hours until the South Carolina GOP primary, Congressman Mark Sanford, the state's former governor, emerged from behind a velvet curtain.
The crowd went wild, and Sanford then spoke for one minute about why he was supporting Cruz. Sanford mentioned the importance of upholding the Constitution and how impressed he was that Cruz came out against ethanol subsidies in Iowa. "We need another fighter in Washington," Sanford said. He then slipped back behind the curtain....

You have any question of Trump’s infidelities? Why else frame your comment with a qualifying “if”?
It is for the South Carolina voters to decide who they trust and don’t trust.
Its probably more like $5, but after Saturday, the check may not be paid.
Did you not see Sanford’s reception at the Town hall?
No, I wish I could get paid to advocate for bringing jobs back to this country.
Do you get $20 per submission? Because you’re one of the serial offenders who posts the same pro-Cruz Trump-bashing story over and over again every time Google produces a different news outlet to avoid the headline duplication.
I’m half-kidding.
Good luck at the polls in SC today! I hope you guys come around when it’s all over, and stop accusing everyone of being a liberal. I’ve told you before, I’ll give Cruz my vote if he wins.
You accused me of being a paid Trump shill. I’m not, and I wish you would read my post history before you’d level such an accusation.
I wish you could read my posting history but that would take years, wouldn’t it?
Yeah, THE Mark Sanford who abandoned his family and his post as Governor for a sick lust
But hey look at the good stuff he does for South Carolina ( barf)
Good.
At least one person isn’t on the Rubio boylove fest.
Vitter & Jeff Sessions should hold a presser and endorse Trump next week.
I like you. That was hilarious. $20 per post. LOL. I always notice your posts because of your wit and wisdom. You are so quick with dispensing it. And thank you for your service.
Isn’t Sanford the guy who was touching some guy’s shoe in a near by stall in an airport men’s room.
He knows I’m pulling his chain. I doubt there are many, if any, paid trolls here. At Twitter, Topix, Facebook and the like? Sure.
No, that was some Idaho pol.
Part Oompa Loompa, part gumball machine. I hadn’t seen that cover. How does he accomplish that double comb over? Wait, I see he combs 48 hairs straight across and the other 48 straight back. I will give Trump my vote if I must but I would rather have a constitutional lawyer as there has already been serious damage done to our constitution by current and past administrations and someone with knowledge of the constitution will be of the utmost importance in my opinion.
Then how come his Ex-wives still support Donald? Obviously his divorces were on amicable terms.
If you are a mature and sane adult, you realize when marriage is over, emotionally, financially and physically. The legal part can take some time. In the meanwhile, if you meet a new mate, it is hardly cheating. Both spouses know marrigae is long over.
I agree - getting Sanford’s endorsement is no prize... but I’m still for Cruz.
No Sanford was the one who was the governor he took off for three days to go see some mistress in Argentina no nw knew where he was!!!
I hope he didn’t promise Sanford that would go Hiking with him if he Wins SC.
Larry Craig. Freedom Caucus Club for Amnesty crowd.
Palin ( & unfortunately Eric Cantor) endorsed the gaffe-prone veteran against Raul Labrador in 2010

Fact: Attorney Labrador has worked for the Idaho Dairymenâs Association, ardent supporters of Larry Craigâs AgJOBs amnesty, while serving as an âelectedâ representative. Yet Labrador likes to pretend there is no conflict of interest in serving his constituents on immigration issues!
Fact: Idaho Rep. Labrador voted against SB 1157, a bill that required verification of legal status to receive non-emergency taxpayer-funded public benefits.
Some stubborn facts about Raul Labrador
While I favor Cruz as the most constitutionalist candidate we have, this is not a great endorsement to have. I doubt that many evangelicals in SC fondly remember Sanford’s great adventure “hiking the Appalachian Trail” ... Maybe he has atoned, confessed his sins, seen the light and been forgiven by the electorate as they put him back in the House, but it still looks like a gamble to have his endorsement.
