Pro-Jeb Bush Super PAC Right to Rise has conducted an internal poll in SC that finds Donald Trump and Ted Cruz in an extremely tight race.
The results list Trump at 26 percent, and Cruz at 24 percent, with Bush and Marco Rubio coming in a distant third and fourth with 12 and 11 percent respectively, according to a report by Politico.
Right to Rise polling is now being conducted by South Carolina veteran political strategist Richard Quinn.
In the Politico report Quinn states: "This is clearly a tight, volatile race that could produce most any result over the next six days."
What's more is that Right to Rise has shown precision accuracy in their internal polls of late. On February 8th, just hours before the New Hampshire Primary, Right to Rise released a poll showing Bush rising to 12 percent and notching third place while Rubio fell to fifth.
The results were eerily similar as Bush just narrowly missed third place and 12 percent, and Rubio did indeed fall to fifth.
The most recent SC poll was conducted between Thursday and Saturday, which is interesting because it does not take the candidates' debate performances into account. Bearing that in mind, this primary race may be even more volatile than expected.
He has lost me. As I said, I will monitor his show just to see how crooked he has become, but when this is over, I’m out.
Well, you erred in your initial accusation about “my polls”, so what the hell. May as well let you dig yourself deeper in.
You’re doing a fine job - just like Ted.
“It wasnât. Not in my twelve years of reading on this site. Itâs become a real test of personal strength for me to participate at all, during this primary.”
Now, now, stiff upper lip and all that rot. Class of 1998 here, and I too have been through the wars. I’ll be Maggie Thatcher to your George 41. Don’t go all wobbly, now. We can make it through just for the great pleasure of being able to say President Trump and we and our country are WINNERS! May we all hang in there; our time is near.
The political flyer I got in the mail today here in Nevada, slamming Rubio from the Cruz campaign ended with an endorsement for Cruz from Limbaugh.
“Iâve noticed that Limbaugh is trying to tip the scales towards Cruz but at the same time he is afraid of losing his audience. This is the first time I can see visibly that Limbaugh values the money he is making and does not want to lose it.”
Bingo. You got it.
My friend, this isn’t Iowa, and this isn’t a caucus. It’s an open primary and Trump is 14-16 points ahead.
If I were Cruz I’d be worried right now - according to PPP his favorables are way underwater in SC - Rubio, the PACs, and Trump are killing him on the field.
It’s not just the money - Limbaugh wants to be popular, and well liked by the cool kids... And in this case the cool kid is Trump.
We shall see. I just talked with one of my contacts at the Houston headquarters today and she seemed upbeat as hell, and that isn’t always the case.
So you haven’t been tauting the polls in your guy’s favor while discounting any that are not favorable to your guy?
Rush Limbaugh is a multibillionaire. His great-great grandchildren will be filthy rich.
Rush has lately begun crossing a Rubicon he swore he’d never dip his toe into. There isn’t a single long time listener of his show who doesn’t realize that Rush is structuring his shows as an ‘in kind’ endorsement of Ted Cruz.
Someone with his (alleged) brilliance should know that his listeners will quickly realize this, then respond accordingly. Those who support Cruz will likely not be offended, but those who don’t? He’s taking a real risk that they’ll be lost, and never come back.
It’s already happened to his good buddy Levin, who’s just fallen from number three to number four.
Don’t worry. I’ve been through forum wars before - some a lot worse than anything we’ve seen here.
I’m not going anywhere.
“Rush Limbaugh is a multibillionaire. His great-great grandchildren will be filthy rich.”
He’s not nearly as rich as Trump is, lol. Nor will Rush ever be President, like Trump will be. Actually, I wonder what Rush is really worth, millions, or billions. Think I’ll google it out of curiosity.
I am convinced that Trump will lose in SC. Cruz will win it...
I think you mean ‘touting’, and no, I haven’t.
I really don’t see the point, given the commanding lead Trump has. I’m really not into rubbing it in. In fact, I’ve already expended far too much on this one exchange. My guy is winning all over the place, so what’s to argue about?
“Rush Limbaugh is a multibillionaire.”
Ooooh, you exaggerated, by a lot, didn’t you. A multibillionaire, you say. And now for the truth:
From “Celebrity Net Worth” online (google for more sources of same):
“Rush Limbaugh net worth and salary: Rush Limbaugh is an American conservative radio host and media personality who has a net worth of $400 million. Rush Limbaugh is one of the most popular and highly compensated radio talk show hosts in the world. He earns an annual salary north of $70 million.”
That ain’t no billionaire like Trump is my friend. Both you and I would take it in a heartbeat, but Rush is nowhere near to Trump’s true “multibillionaire” status.
This might explain why Trump has been flipping out more than usual.
A) Who runs “Celebrity Net Worth” and what are their sources? (B) You actually believed that $10 billion figure that Trump put out there last year? BTW, both Limbaugh and Trump own multiple executive class private jets. Mitt Romney, allegedly worth $200 million, owns none. That tells me right there that both Don and Rush are billionaires.
I quit listening to Levin, and will in few give up Limbaugh.
For the good of the country, I sure hope it works. We sure need something to knock the obnoxious blowhard closet statist off his high horse.
