Donald Trump slammed Sen. Ted Cruz insisting, "Look, the truth is, he's a nasty guy."
Appearing on ABC's "This Week" with George Stephanopoulos in an interview airing on Sunday, Trump said, "Nobody likes him [Cruz]. Nobody in congress likes him. Nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him. He's a very - he's got an edge that's not good. You can't make deals with people like that and it's not a good thing.
Stephanopoulos asked Trump, "Is it now a two-person race between you and Ted Cruz?"
"No, I don't think so. I think there are other people, but I don't think a lot of people have a great chance. I don't think Ted Cruz has a great chance to be honest with you," Trump argued.....

When Trump wished to expand his Atlantic City casino to have added limo parking (mid 1990s), he attempted to low-ball and then use the local Eminent Domain agency to squeeze a widow and 2 small business sites into oblivion.
The widow had lived in the home for 30+ years and had refused an offer from another casino for 4 times the amount that Trump offered, yet he turned to the executive branch to FORCE her to sell.
I have not chosen my candidate yet but Trump shows a degree of arrogance that I find off-putting!
Since the homosexual marriage decision I am starting to turn into a one issue voter.
A majority of the current Supreme Court has decreed that the actual text of the Constitution, the intent of the drafters, 2,000 years of western civilization, logic, common sense, and all known rules of statutory construction are all utterly irrelevant. The Constitution now says whatever the hell 5 out of 9 Supreme Court Justices want it to say.
Our only hope is to elect a truly CONSERVATIVE President that will only appoint truly CONSERVATIVE Supreme Court Justices. Unfortunately, even Reagan batted no better than 50% when picking Supreme Court Justices. Democrat Presidents on the other hand always pick reliably far left-wing Justices.
The attacks on Heidi Cruz began weeks ago.
Some of his followers sure are.
As opposed to Trump fans?
As opposed to Trump fans?
That is one good thing I see in the Trump world...he’s not concerned about political correctness. Since he’s not (apparently) beholden to anyone, he doesn’t have to parse his statements for the benefit of others.
That is refreshing...and should be a lesson for the rest of the field.
Whereas Trump will be quite willing to make deals? Meaning his proposals are simply opening bids and he wins if HE wins?
Yeah, the clinton donor is so liked by the left he donated yuuuuge cash money to them
Thank goodness Cruz isn’t liked by corrupt leftwing politicians.

Reagan gave us Antonin Scalia (a conservative), Sandra Day O'Connor (a moderate) and Anthony Kennedy (a moderate on most issues but a far left-wing liberal in any cases involving homosexuals).
Bush Sr. gave us David Souter (a liberal) and Clarence Thomas (a conservative).
Bush Jr. gave us Samuel Alito (a conservative) and John Roberts (sometimes conservative, sometimes moderate, sometimes liberal, pretty much depending on which way the wind is blowing).
At least Cruz has admitted that supporting Roberts was a mistake and that Roberts has been a disappointment on the Court.
Whatever.... most people that I know (given that I hang out with a lot of social conservatives) think a marriage with 24 years difference in age between the couple is.... well... whatever you want to call it. If you say it’s cool because he gets to sleep with a hot ex model.... that’s up to you.
That was my first thought, also.
I don’t have the time to be on here and read all the info posted. I get a lot of it.. but I must be missing something.
1. I’ve followed Cruz for 2 years, just ‘cause the rep cartel doesn’t like him. He’s voted pretty much conservative. I’ve liked him for those 2 years. He was one of 2 who voted against the trade deal.. the rest voted for it and raked in the money for their votes. I’ve considered Cruz as one of the better ones. Yeah, he has no friends there in congress... that’s a plus. They say he’s a nasty guy... if they think he is and it’s because they can’t rein him in.. that’s a plus. He hasn’t been on the war path in this election cycle.. that’s a plus. He’s smart and that’s a plus...
2. Trump: there are those who keep saying Trump isn’t conservative. Who ever said he was? It doesn’t matter, since that word has been used for almost anything and anyone, if it suits.. There are way too many who say they are conservative and are not. There are too many liars in congress too. I see Levin has some posts up that say Trump is going to sue Cruz over this birth issue.. which is no issue.
I wanted Trump in as President because I wanted a fighter against all that is being allowed to destroy all of this country, in every area. I wanted a man who would get jobs back again and send the illegals back. I wanted a man who would do what is right and straighten our land again.. regain what we have lost, if it be possible.
But he is getting dirtier and dirtier.. I want a fighter, not an angry man who not only wants to win big, but he wants to take out everyone else. His numbers are over the top.. why get all irritated over nothing. As long as he’s winning, why is he taking the attitude to destroy the rest of the field. It doesn’t make any sense to do that. It changes my mind about him.. and I’m so disappointed in this man who I had so much hope in. These colors are not necessary. If he wants to take it out on the clintons.. or the commie dem running.. that’s a different story.. just don’t send in enemy fire on Cruz..
Again.. have I missed something?
Mostly by conservatives.
I was largely ambivalent between Trump or Cruz, because I liked both.
I dig Trumps digs on the Establishment , Hildabeast and the Obama regime.
I dig Cruz because he is the articulate Conservative I more identify my principles with having commonality.
But this CRAP from Trump - is making me dislike him to the point I may not support him at all, even if he somehow manages to overcome the corruption and the rigging by the Establishment to be on the ballot in November.
Ditto. Didn’t see your post before I wrote mine, but I concur wholeheartedly.
No spamming, please.

I’m not sure what I did that would be considered “spam” (which, to me, means “irrelevant or inappropriate messages”).
I DO remember that, to this part of the post...

...I commented that it brought two things to MY mind:
1) That Trump, with that comment, sounded like a member of a “mean girls high school clique” making biting/bullying comments about another schoolmate,
and
2) That Trump, with that comment, sounded as he thought that “making deals” with the RINOs and ‘RATS that run Congress would be a good thing and that I thought that THAT “let’s make a deal” attitude would not bode well for we conservatives should Trump be elected.
Is THAT what is now considered SPAM on Free Republic? Have we fallen THAT far since Donald Trump has entered the race?
I must admit that in retrospect I have slightly mixed feelings about the outcome Bork nomination.
On the one hand, Robert Bork would have been a fantastic strict constructionist Justice. Instead of Bork, we got Anthony Kennedy, a moderate flip flopper who is single handedly responsible for most of the 5/4 liberal wins over the past 25+ years.
On the other hand, Bork died in 2012. If he had been on the Court, then Obama would have filled his seat with a young far left-wing Justice, just like Sotomayor and Kagan, who would be legislating from the bench for the next 30 years. At least with Kennedy still on the Court we have a chance that his seat will be filled with a conservative by the next President.
