GOP presidential candidate Sen.Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) won a "prominent New York City straw poll" after commenting on "New York values."
On Saturday the Resurgent posted on Twitter: "Ted Cruz Wins Prominent New York City Straw Poll AFTER Insulting 'New York Values.'"
According to the Resurgent, The Metropolitan Republican Club in New York City held its straw poll after Cruz's statements criticizing "New York Values," and Cruz won first place.
GOP frontrunner Donald Trump said Cruz insulted New Yorkers when he criticized New York Values during the GOP debate on Thursday night in South Carolina....

By the way, another lying headline, which makes it sound like all of NYC was involved in this, or at least a group like CPAC. You should see this place. It’s a tiny little “ballroom” in a tiny little building, and I don’t think there were very many people there. I went to a few of these but it got too noisy and they ran too late so I didn’t go to this one.

It has been posted over and over again today. What the posters fail to understand is this is admission that Senator Cruz is a member of the uniparty. He has been groomed for the position to take advantage of the conservative vote.

FYI
New York State population - 19.750,000
New York City population - 8,491,079
Those living upstate know exactly what Ted Cruz was referring to.

Possibly because only liberals and RINOs took offense? Liberals, RINOs, and Freerepublic Trump supporters trying to score political points.

I don’t quite get your post but it seems interesting. Groomed by whom?
My point was just that maybe if I had been there it would have been tied 33 - 33. That’s how small the group is.

Trump can’t even win a straw poll in his own backyard.
To: Nifster
It’s in New York for crying out loud. Right after Cruz had trashed New York values. It shouldn’t even be close.

I don't quite get your post but it seems interesting. Groomed by whom?
It means that Senator Cruz had already been corrupted by the GOPe back in 2014. It may have been earlier. Why did he wait to renounce his Canadian citizenship? Why did he begin running for the Presidential office shortly after becoming senator?
How come the loan scandals have been met with so much blowback? How conservative is Senator Cruz? We just have to look at his short record. TPA, Corker Bill and expansion of H1B visas. There is no conservative there.
Finally, a good example of grooming and creating a narrative is the case of Paul Ryan. He was the favorite Tea Party candidate. That is until he got into office and became the uniparty candidate. Look what he has done.
I could go on, however it is late and I need to get up in a couple of hours. I will be expounding on this over the next week.
Here is a good read to highlight some of the issues. This may explain the extremeness of many supporters. Their party is going to lose it's perks if a black swan candidate takes office.
THE END OF THE AMERICAN PRESIDENCY

My candidate Romney?!?!?! You just proved you know nothing about me, my views or where I stand on any issue. You are just mindlessly attacking people with scripted insults. That is culist behavior.
To: jpsb
But, but, but Cruz told us there are no conservatives in Manhattan. Cruz prefaced the values comment with an apology to conservatives in New York, acknowledging their existence. But don't let that get in the way of your sarcastic attacks.
To: PA Engineer
Thanks. I’ll read that later.
I still don’t understand why the GOPe would be creating him, but it’s an interesting theory. They had to have a conservative-appearing stooge, in case the country was sick of moderates? Maybe I’ll get it when I read what is at your link.
I agree that he is a fake conservative in some ways. I have tended to see him as so out for himself that he sometimes trips over his own feet.
To: 5thGenTexan
I am so glad I woke you up. Hopefully you’ll be more responsible this time.
