ABC/Randy Sager(NEW YORK) -- Ted Cruz has reached top-rank popularity among Republicans and Chris Christie's favorability rating is most improved in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, while Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Jeb Bush all have stumbled in the battle for GOP hearts and minds.
On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton continues to far surpass Bernie Sanders in favorability among party regulars, and she's vastly more popular within the Democratic Party than are any of the Republican candidates within the GOP base. Still, gender and racial gaps mark Clinton's standings, and Sanders pushes back among young adults, independents and the better-off....

Glad the nomination is a popularity contest.
Usually when national polls for voting preferences are shown here, the Cruz folks say ‘When are the national primaries?’
I just heard Rush say that a poll says Jeb has gained and is now in #3.
LOL
All of this is pure bull.
Really, could this article’s titled be more deceptive? Are we now at the level of leftist, that we deceive and LIE?

Gravis Marketing, a nonpartisan research firm, conducted a random survey of 1,088 registered, likely primary voters in Iowa. The poll was conducted on January 11th and 12th and includes 422 Republicans, 461 Democrats, and the remainder as independents or another party. The poll has a margin of error of ñ 3% [5% for Republicans and Democrats]. The total may not round to 100% because of rounding. The polls were conducted using automated telephone calls (IVR technology) and weighted separately for each population in the question presented. The poll was conducted for One America News.

I also heard Cruz won Mr Congeniality.
It is one poll that was posted on Drudge.
Indeed: Really, could this article be titled any more deceptive? Are we now at the level of leftist, that we deceive and LIE?
Below is another poll shredding the posted bs/you noted above.
CBS/NYT poll: Donald Trump holds onto top spot nationally [Trump 36% Cruz 19% Rubio 12%]

Heading into the early primary contests, Donald Trump continues to hold a double digit lead over the rest of the Republican field nationally. Thirty-six percent of Republican primary voters support Trump, 17 points ahead of his closest rival, Texas Senator Ted Cruz (19 percent). Florida Senator Marco Rubio has now climbed to third place at 12 percent. Ben Carson — who briefly surged to the top of the field at the end of October — is tied with former Florida Governor Jeb Bush at 6 percent.
Trump voters are firmer in their support for their candidate than are Republican primary voters who are voting for someone else. While 52 percent of Trump voters say their mind is made up, this is true of just 24 percent of Republican primary voters who support another candidate.
Trump is the second choice of many Republican primary voters who don’t support him. Eighteen percent of Republican primary voters who are not supporting Trump pick him as their top second choice, and 17 percent choose Marco Rubio. Trump voters overwhelmingly choose Ted Cruz (31 percent) as their top second choice candidate.

If people are wondering why polls are all over the place...
different polls measure different things- here ‘favorability’ instead of vote preference.
MOE: this poll has a huge 7.5% MOE for Republicans. A big MOE makes for big movement. Which makes for frequent ‘newsworthy’ headlines.
Then there’s ‘likely voter’ ‘registered voters’, ‘adults’...
They’re informative, but not always in the way you’d think.
Rush was talking about the Reuters poll that shows Jeb at around 10. Rush doesn’t know that Reuters has had Jeb at 9 or 10 for 3 months or more. Rush thinking its a new surge and its not.
Always telling to see how people respond to polls that contradict their wishes.
Yes, isn’t it?
It’s nice to know the only conservative in the race is the most popular. I hope these translate to votes. Keep praying.
Oh, I thought this would be about which candidates people are supporting.
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/01/14/us/politics/ted-cruz-starts-to-crack-gop-establishments-wall-of-opposition.ht Establishment warms to Cruz.
It is. It’s a poll.
If that’s the poll results, this is breaking news for Trump and a new 6 point lead in Iowa! Poll sample was done Jan 11-12. Great news!!
Your implication from that NYT article is limp.
If the headline says something they like or don’t like is all you can usually tell from their response.
Of course just reading the headline is a time-honored practice among Freepers.
