ccording to the transcript of Donald Trump's interview with Scott Pelley on 60 Minutes, Mr. Trump favors a single payer health care plan in certain situations. During the interview, Pelley asked Mr. Trump what his plan was to replace Obamacare would look like. Mr. Trump responded, saying "I am going to take care of everybody. I don’t care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody’s going to be taken care of much better than they’re taken care of now." When Pelley pressed Mr. Trump further about who would pay for this coverage, Mr. Trump said "the government’s gonna pay for it."

Great. Cruz is the man that true American conservatives will vote for and Americans are still a majority of conservatives. Anyone that says otherwise is a True Communist Progressive and is in the boat with Obama, Clinton, Sanders and oh yeah, Donald Trump.

My small group policy premiums have doubled under deathcare by the kenyan antichrist. Our deductibles, already high, have tripled. The network of providers is narrower. You are ignorantly, stupidly wrong: deathcare is NOT better than the “mess” it replaced.
I’m just saying the old system was a complete mess.
Far, far too many people were not covered. Healthcare is FAR TOO EXPENSIVE to not be covered. Destructively so.
It simply got out of hand. Obamacare addressed that. It wasn’t the end solution, but what we had before was even worse.
The GOP can work to improve it, but far too many people were left out before. Far too many.
Trump is on the right track.

We have had a form of single-payer in the US for many decades.
It has always been very inefficient, expensive and just plain stupid!
The single payer is as always, the hapless taxpayer :-(
Ever since it was mandated by law that any individual who shows up at any emergency room with any complaint at any time MUST be treated, we have had a twisted form of single-payer.
There is NO way in hell that these laws will ever be changed... thus we will always have a form of single-payer as medical care of last resort.
A realist comes to the inescapable conclusion that all we can do to minimize the disaster is to reform the system into something less stupid.
Medicaid and the legal requirement to treat is our De-facto single-payer system.
You could fly in on a cargo plane from Flyspekistan and parachute to the ground and you could receive free medical care at the nearest emergency room.... all courtesy of the helpless taxpaying citizen.
Obamacare did nothing to make this mess any better :-( It just made it more expensive for the poor taxpayer. It is a way to fine the people who cannot afford to buy insurance.
Perhaps Trump could bring a bit of business savvy to this mess and make it somewhat better.
Single-payer will always be with us in some form.... lets hope we can make it better some day soon.

Anyone willing to contort their view on single payer to defend their candidate is not a conservative, and neither is their candidate.
Key words: "Universal" and "Government-funded." We already have a "single payer" system for the elderly and the poor. It's called Medicare and Medicaid.

You described “single provider”.
They will always get provided care. The thing is, they’re still racking up massive bills. They owe those.
Just because they are broke, or even worse in the country illegally to begin with, we have an enormous amount of Americans who were left completely out.
Nobody fixed that.
That is why Obamacare came about.
Because nobody else was doing a thing.
The rational cannot have a coherent conversation with the irrational. Some people have both firmly planted in the mid-air of emotionally cherry picked logical fallacies. Something to keep in mind on these rabidly anti Trump threads.

This medical system we have is based on people being sick. Medicare came in and fed into that. The medical community took advantage of ‘free’ money - government money.
It was bankrupt by the early ‘80s. No plan fro recovery. A lot of words, regulations, words, lip service, committees.
The pharmaceutical industry...
People get more dependent on being taken care of, no real attention to health, eating well, exercise. Not in general. Not with this obesity situation.
And a guy like Obama comes in and takes advantage of this terrible situation like a parasite on a sick tree.
Trump is going to try to fix it. He’s not a communist.
He’s not moving into the presidency in order to take more advantage of a sick system with the end goal of turning us into a complete nation of serfs so he can have more stuff, nor is he going to do that for his donors.
There is no candidate up there from either party who has a chance of not making obamacare much worse and/or turning it into a single payer thing, which is what all the one world people donating to every one else is intent on doing, in addition to bringing in all manner of unassimilating ‘refugees. None, except Trump.
THe southern southwest cities are about gone. No one against Trump gets that. Either that or they are working for a takeover of this country.
this is a three month old video. The date is snuck in at the top of the post and carefully erased form the video. it was made before Trump got serious after the popular response he is getting.
It is meant to discourage, by presenting it as something he is saying now.
If Trump turns obamacare into a single payer thing, it will in no way be any worse than what any other guy up there will do. Anyone who has a brain can see that.
