Bush challenges Trump to one-on-one debate

Jeb Bush on Monday challenged Republican front-runner Donald Trump to a one-on-one debate.

Speaking to a gathering at the Forum Club in Palm Beach, Fla., Bush was asked by the moderator what he would say to Trump if he were to walk in the room at that moment.

“Donald, I’ll take you on one-on-one in a debate, any time, any place,” Bush said. “You name it and I’ll do it.”(continued)

He’s beyond desperate and now he’s making an ass of himself.

Begging for Mr. Trump’s attention!

I’m all but certain, that one on one debates are against the GOP rules.

Yep, we have already heard they are not allowed to have debates outside of the ones already planned.

Jebbie knows this. The whole thing is a fraud, just like him.

I’m all but certain, that one on one debates are against the GOP rules.

That I don't know. I do know that Gingrich held two private debates back when he ran, since he and some of the others weren't getting much face time in the regular debates. He had a one-on-one with Herman Cain, and another with Huntsman.

They were actually pretty good, they were more like free-flowing round table discussions with those two and the moderator, and Gingrich has the talent of making even a guy like Huntsman look smarter than he is. I'd love to see a few discussions similar to this with, really, any of the candidates. They would have time to fully develop a thought in a way that they never do in the formal debates.

The guy with 40% should debate the guy with 3%. He should have been off that stage BEFORE John Kasich or Rand Paul. The fact he is still there makes me wonder if the fix is in.

LOL.

Ya know, I really think that Jeb was sold that 2016 "was HIS TURN!" That he would have smooth sailing with all that campaign money and, like grania pointed out he would have those shills running from the various swing states to throw him delegates if necessary:

Kasich = Ohio
Jindal = LA
Christie = NJ
Gilmore = VA
Graham = SC
Pataki (NY)

Don’t doubt. When Cruz smokes the field by 10 and 20 points for over six months, Jeb would bark for a debate.

Cruz has been debating, six times I believe. However, it doesn’t seem to top TRUMP, who wins by 20-30 points.

Must be the large competitive field, or the media-panelists love for TRUMP, or that attack-TRUMP debate agenda that makes TRUMP the consistent winner. TRUMP gets all the advantages. /s

Good post! LOL That gave me a good chuckle.

I think we are past the point of the debates. People aren’t going to be swayed this time around because they have contempt for the moderators and their nasty little games.

Someone look at Real Clear Politics averages of these candidates and tell me why it would be in Trump's interest to debate Jeb one on one?

Trump has 8.5 voters for every ONE Bush has....

Against the RNC rules.

I'm sure the RNC would change the rules if they thought Yeb had a chance of bringing down Trump. I fact, I wouldn't be surprised if idea didn't come from the RNC. When Trump tells him to pound sand, Yeb can say that Trumps' scared to debate him.

No Mr. Bush, remember you can be quoted as having stated you hated being the front runner... you do not deserve the spotlight to reset your campaign.
