Did not even bother to read this piece, but I’ll sleep better tonight knowing that the Huffington Post is worried about the GOP and Republican voters.
Matt’s hand wringing is amusing. Both GOPe and Democrats are... concerned.
That ship done sailed Matt. The Republican candidate has pretty much been decided by the PEOPLE who decided they are tired of being second class citizens in their own country. They want to make America great again. What more can you say?
That's just what GOPe does. Give us a strong candidate like McCain, Bob Dole or Romney. Yes sir! That's what we need alright.
While we certainly APPRECIATE the left trying to help Republicans win elections over their candidates, forgive us if we get a ‘bit suspicious’ when we read stuff like this.
“Trump is a terrible nominee for Republicans in a general election.”
I know you didn’t write this, but it leads well for me:
REPUBLICAN MATH:
Pander to Gays
Pander to Hispanics
Pander to Blacks
Ignore Whites
Can’t lose that way, by ignoring only ONE GROUP, the Republicans are able to increase support from 3 other groups. So 3 votes won for each one lost. (don’t laugh, Michael Medved said virtually exactly what I’ve written)
TRUMP MATH:
Don’t Pander to Gays
Don’t Pander to Hispanics
Don’t Pander to Blacks
Address the needs of Whites
TRUMP MATH (with percentages of electorate added):
Don’t Pander to Gays (2%), Hisapanics (10%), Blacks (12%)
Address the needs of Whites (70%)
Total Non-Pandered: 24%
Total Happy Whites: 70%
That is how LANDSLIDES are created and explains why Republican PANDERING has NEVER helped them.
“This country is in danger and we need a president who’ll protect the American people,” Christie said
Once again the TRUMP EFFECT is in full force. Christie, in his way, is trying to sound like Trump...only problem is that no one believes him.
The only voting bloc which is crucial to a successful campaign is white people, among whom Mr. Trump appears to be doing rather well.
And, in fact, it is possible that his efforts will end the 55-45 white split that makes those OTHER blocs so important.
A candidate or a movement that can win 65% of the white vote will never lose another national election, and those other "crucial blocs" will no longer be quite so crucial.
<<<<.....All Trump has to do is nail her on her long record of dishonesty......>>>>>>
That works two ways and I don’t think either will play into “fighting” over each others dishonesty and track records....if they do they’ll simply cancel each other out....
That’s of course assuming that Trump might not loose the Primary and actually have to defend his positions with something more than “talk”......
Only 'one' can win the Primary for President.....this nation NEEDS that to be Cruz.....for he's already got the ground crew in Washington ready to go when he wins.....not so Trump who will be struggling to find even his footing in the halls of Washington. We don't have the time for Trump to catch up...which he's Still trying to do.... and still stumbling with Conservatives issues as well as what the Constitution is about.
I don’t see it that way caww.
I think they’re two pieces of symbiotic victory. One is not enough. I’m good with Trump at the top with Cruz learning some of Trump’s executive skills and Trump learning some strategy/thinking from Cruz.
Sure Cruz has some executive skills too but they’re different. And Trump has some strategy but not like Cruz
I want them both.
IMO we could do no better next fall with a Trump/Cruz ticket.
I thought that, at least in the past, Jim Rob forbade posting huffingtoncrap here on FR...
I find that to be true. Their experience in international geopolitics ismazing!
I think it helps provide a little perspective. With all the hyperbole and vitriol flying around the Trump/Cruz threads it's good to remind people occasionally what FUBAR really looks like.
Obama too said "flexibility" after his election....
JimRob would be amused the HuffPost has become a go-to source for establishment Republicans... like Politico.
So a college kid is advising moderate GOPers to get their act together to prevent Trump/Cruz from taking over the party.
What he doesn’t see is they’re all selfish and they all think they have a chance to win.
Their contempt for the base will bury them in Iowa AND in New Hampshire.
I don’t think there is an establishment GOP candidate because no one likes the establishment. QED.
BUMP!
I wish people would understand that posting articles from opponents’ media is a good thing. It is good to know what they are thinking, plotting and scheming.
All they are doing is trying to influence public opinion against our top candidates. Nothing more, nothing less.
Nope. Even worse:
"Matt is a junior at Towson University double majoring in political science and public relations. Matt is politically active and passionate about uniting his generation around solutions to the unique and troubling challenges they face. His interests outside of politics include music, film and theatre.
