Minnesota's conservatives are coalescing around Cruz
The Minnesota Post ^ | December 18, 2015 | Cyndy Brucato

The Ted Cruz campaign for president took a chance booking a venue as large as the Harriet Island Pavilion in St. Paul for a rally.

Not to worry. Thursday night, 500-plus Cruz supporters packed the place, a testament to the Texas senator's increasing strength in the Republican field of presidential candidates. They cheered, hooted, and hollered at the candidate who spits out bites of his conservative philosophy with a Texas drawl and John Wayne simplicity.

When he is president, he said, “We will have a president willing to utter the words ‘radical Islamic terrorism.’”

When he is president, he said, “We will take on … the alphabet soup of federal agencies that descend like locusts,” destroying businesses....

It’s not a “Ted Cruz thread,”

Title of thread:

"Minnesota's conservatives are coalescing around Cruz"

It's a Cruz thread Mr Peabrain.

Firstly, that’s nonsense

Trump IS the most thin skinned man to run for president. It's not even an issue. Everything he does shows how thin skinned he is.

He’s the only one who is even *saying* the right things on the deal-breaker issues. I hope he is “thin-skinned” enough to smite our enemies when they beg for it.

Ummmm.....striking our enemies has nothing to do with being thin skinned and prickly. It has a lot to do with toughness, smarts, strategic thinning, stamina and execution, qualities which your typical thin skinned bloviator does not posses. And oh he is NOT the only one talking about striking our enemies. Ted Cruz and others were breathing fire and brimstone on ISIS long before Trump even knew what ISIS stood for.

I bring 6.4 decades of education and experience to the mix. I learned about reality while in the Navy and during my second career overseas.

You got me by 0.1 decade. I spent 24 years in the AF.

I guess if you think Cruz is weak, that's OK by me - I would crawl through 100 yards of broken glass to fight by his side.

Did your education and experience also teach you to donate to causes you believe in? Just curious about how someone who obviously thinks their very existence brings much to the table actually thinks when it comes to tangible support for someone vs. cutting others down. Who do you back and donate to?

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
We need to ensure we don't get another Obama-like America Hater as the next President.
The best way to ensure that is to actively support a candidate as the next President.
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz

Donate to FR

a few more decades maybe youll have something to contribute.

Yes, 6-point-whatever decades of pretense and humbug. Quite something to shoot for.

You really need to get a grip on that intellect-envy before it poisons your every waking minute.

“Just curious about how someone who obviously thinks their very existence brings much to the table”

Every healthy person thinks that their very existence brings much to the table. Fact is, almost everybody brings something to the table.

I would also note that you have a great deal of room to be less obnoxious in your calls for donations.

“It’s a Cruz thread Mr Peabrain.”

What are you, five years old?

It would be a “Cruz thread” if it were so labeled, e.g. Catholic Caucus” threads.

As it stands, it’s just a thread about Cruz, and everyone is at liberty to post.

Right, he became a billionaire by winning life’s lottery. It was just handed to him.

At least Trump has had skin in the game in many instances, and that is something that Cruz has *never* had.

You’re beginning to sound a little Freudian, Big Fella.

Is there anything in particular you haven’t been able to grasp in quite some time?

Flame Warrior Roster

Therapist can be a highly annoying and therefore very effective Warrior. Instead of making a frontal attack, Therapist attempts to shift the focus of the conflict to the combatants’ psychological motivations and problems. He will freely speculate about other Warriors’ insecurities, personalities and relationships, but he will almost never directly engage the subject of the dispute. CAUTION: Evil Clown, Imposter and Troller often masquerade as Therapist.

True - so many FReeloaders and so little time. The Bible tells us to "lovingly shame such people" and make them embarrassed enough to want to change their ways. In today's society, it's awful hard to embarrass anyone because even many on the so-called Right seem to have bought into the PC crap abut deserving self-esteem no matter what. Times change, tactics change.

BTW - I've only had 2 or 3 folks mention that they donate and their names don't show up. 1 person said they don't have enough money to donate. The real kicker is all those who don't donate and either ignore me in hopes I'll go away or who tell me it's none of my business how they spend or don't spend my money - so dang....Democratic of them to obfuscate instead of telling the truth - they're too cheap and don't see why they should have to ante up if others are willing to foot the bill.
