WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump had a new target on Sunday, calling fellow White House contender Ted Cruz "a little bit of a maniac" as the U.S. senator surpassed him in an Iowa poll.Cruz's dogged pursuit of conservative Iowa voters has paid off in the form of a 10-point lead over Trump in the state, which has one of the earliest presidential contests.
Unlike the other Republicans in the 2016 White House race, the U.S. senator from Texas has embraced Trump and avoided public criticism of the popular candidate.
But last week he questioned Trump's judgment at a private fundraiser, according to the New York Times, after the billionaire businessman advocated temporarily banning Muslims from entering the United States.
That got Trump's attention.
"I donât think he is qualified to be president," Trump said on "Fox News Sunday."(continued)

Spat? Whenever something is posted about Trump, I always go back to the original footage to see whether something has been twisted in the translation. In this case as I watched Trump, it seemed like he said it in a lighthearted way.
Ted Cruz is a Conservative, so anyone who thinks Ted Cruz is a ‘’maniac’’ can’t also be a Conservative.
In fact, it’s been liberals, both Democrats and RINOs like John McCain, who have unceasingly attacked Ted Cruz as a maniac, a wacko bird, etc. So now Donald Trump has joined the liberal chorus.
The choice for Conservative voters is now either Ted Cruz or the anti-Ted Cruz, Donald Trump. One or the other, it can’t be both.
You win, I’m done. Gonna go eat some cheese and take a shower.
