WASHINGTON/NEW YORK, Dec 9 (Reuters) - For the Republican Party, a tough job just got a little tougher thanks to Donald Trump.
For years, Republicans, backed by some influential donors, have carefully cultivated the vote of Jewish-Americans who regard the security of Israel their top concern. Less than a week ago, a bevy of presidential candidates stood before a group of Jewish conservatives in Washington, asking for their support and declaring their solidarity with the Jewish state.
But Trump's proposal to bar the entry of all foreign Muslims into the United States has upended some of those efforts, prominent Republicans said. His planned visit to Israel at the end of December is being viewed with increasing concern.
"It's unquestionably unhelpful. His comments are disgusting," Norm Coleman, a former senator from Minnesota and a board member of the Republican Jewish Coalition, told Reuters....

I did independent contract work for Israeli companies, and not a single Israeli supported the idea of bringing in muslim fanatics to kill Jews. Incidentally, Reuters is the last gasp attempt of British fascists to keep alive Goebbel’s Ministry of Propaganda.
Max, I hear you, and this comment was made by a relatively young man, early 40s, with young children, who visits Israel annually. I was absolutely dumbfounded.
If the man who made the stupid comments about Jews being able to absorb some hits, and he is in his 40’s, then he is either perpetually stupid or has a superego and no sense of reality.

His attitude is caused by unobservant liberalism.
It has always baffled me. There are certainly plenty of Jewish conservatives (We have many on FR) but the large proportion of them that are extremely liberal and vote the party line really throw me for a loop.
What is it about Jewish leftists that makes them embrace people who would rather see them dead?
I simply do not understand it, and never have. And in the case of this President, who is steeped in Black Liberation Theology, and chummy with the likes of Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright, it is downright perplexing.
I don’t get it either. I read Podhoretz’s book, “Why Are Jews Liberal?”-—no answers. My wife took a course on Judaism from a rabbi. No answers. They have this built-in rebellion against Gid and truth that has just constantly led them to slavery, oppression, or worse.
The “Republican Jews”, that are turned off by the guy who has issues with those who would wipe the Jews off the face of the planet, aren’t playing with a full deck...
