Free Republic Straw Poll (December edition)
December 6, 2015 | 2ndDivisionVet

Posted on 12/06/2015 2:40:23 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

If you had to vote in your state primary/caucus today, knowing what you know now about the various declared and probable candidates, who would you vote for? Why? Who would you like to see as the running mate for your preferred candidate? If you could help staff your candidates cabinet and other top appointments, who would you choose? If you could recommend different congressional leaders than we have now, who would they be? And who would you like to see on the Supreme Court and why? And finally, feel free to donate to Free Republic.

“Condi Rice was a good one, but no one as good as Kissinger.”

You’re kidding, right? Do some research on their views of the NWO and get back to me.

There’s no such thing as Speaker of the Senate.

Just Cruz for primary, I’m pretty sure

What are you pretty sure of? I am one hundred percent certain I will vote for Trump in the primary.

I’m a Cruz guy first and foremost (I’ve donated $ 4 times to his campaign) and I will take a shot at it.
Cruz is the only one in the race that is a conservative, period.
Trump is not, but that doesn’t make him a liberal either.
Trump’s schooling,I’m thinking most libs don’t go to military school or Wharton business school.
He is a tireless worker
He’s done things for other people using his money, and he didn’t speak about it,they only came to light by those around Trump,or the people themselves mentioning it.
He doesn’t smoke drink or do drugs.
His kids are extremely well adjusted, can you say Bush twins,Gores daughter,Chelsea Clinton, etc, etc.
Gates,Jobs ,etc set up “Foundations” to further the progressive cause.
He’s registered a bunch of times in different political parties, maybe he doesn’t really like any of them, funny that, neither do I.
His actual campaign contributions ,to both parties in total are actually quite small, especially relative to his wealth.
While wealth may be the engine of our economy, the middle class is the backbone,he understands our backs are getting crushed.
Understand, that very wealthy people, regardless of their political leanings,hob-nob with each other. They are not going to be overtly political with each other, wether they are politicians, business leaders, etc.I’ve been around them, they only mouth platitudes to each other.
Cultural Marxism has infected this country for a very long time. The infection at this point is critical.Tump has been taking a battering ram to it.
People like Cruz,Newt, and a couple others have dust ups with reporters, or other politicians, but the end result is minimal.they cannot compete with Trump in this arena, this fight needs to be fought,it needs to be fought now,and it needs to be absolutely, unequivocally RUTHLESS.
If I could wave a magic wand, and install Ted Cruz in the Oval Office,I would do it in a heart beat.We will all have to wait a little while and see how this all shakes out.I hope Ted can do it,but it the meantime,I’ll support Trump’s war on Cultural Marxism.

Ok, so you have a choice of Trump, whom you say isnt going to do what he promised because he is some sort of charlatan.

And you have the choice of a senator that hasn’t accomplished anything, has been alienated from most of his colleagues, and no has executive experience, because “Cruz has a lifelong history of being a conservative and supporting and defending the Constitution”.

In other words, you and I have faith in our respective candidates for reasons that outweigh any deficiencies that are real or perceived.

You want everybody to vote for a first term senator with no legislative record of sucess.

Describes Obama to a "T." Just look how successful he's been at accomplishing his agenda. Cruz's depth is extraordinary.

They've shown they know how to do it, in presidential races. "

who would you vote for?

Who I vote for in the primary is of little consequence.

What really matters is that I AM GOING TO VOTE IN THE GENERAL ELECTION FOR WHOMEVER gets our party's nomination.......

I have no intentions of staying home and not voting or voting for someone who's not even on the ballot simply because "MY GUY" didn't get the nomination and then blame the election of THE DEMOCRAP on the people who actually voted against him........

Only several months away until THE PURGE begins............

How do you justify in your mind that Cruz was not born in the USA yet you still think he could be President?

.
Obviously Cruz.

The only candidate qualified to be president.

He is also the only one qualified to pick his appointments. Surely no one here at FR has any qualifications to pick any of the appointments.
