Senator Ted Cruz made his mark on Murfreesboro for an appearance at Patterson Community Center Monday. The event was held in the local gym. Evidently, the event was so packed, that the fire marshal was forced to stop people from entering the large gym. A few hundred were placed in the smaller adjoining gym.

During his talk he received numerous cheers when mentioning repealing the national healthcare, building a stronger military, getting rid of Common Core, going to a flat-tax and eliminating the IRS.
He quipped about redirecting duties of the 90,000 IRS employees to guard the Mexican border. The crowd went wild when he said, "Imagine the illegals swimming across the Rio Grande and suddenly seeing 90,000 IRS workers. They'd turn-back on their own?"
Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz is the junior United States Senator from Texas. The Republican was elected as senator in 2012 and is the first Hispanic or Cuban-American to serve as a U.S. Senator from Texas. He is now making a run for the Whitehouse.

There was standing room only in Chattanooga as well, and this after they changed from the Chattanooga RNC HQ to a larger venue.

While Kentucky might be Rand territory, it wouldn't hurt to do a well-publicized stop on the way north to Ohio, PA, WV, IN and MI. :)
