Trump’s Remarks on Women Cost Him This Weekend (Further explains the RedState disinvite)

Erick Erickson knows what it’s like to be in the crosshairs over an intemperate remark. An influential conservative blogger and former CNN contributor, he’s taken heat over the years for accusing a Supreme Court justice of bestiality and joking that God “had a sense of humor” when he created feminists.

So his initial reaction when told Friday about Donald Trump’s latest controversial remarks was one of puzzlement. But by the end of the evening, he was leading the charge against the Republican frontrunner over his attitude towards women.

Erickson had just returned from a family dinner to the Grand Hyatt hotel in Atlanta, across from where supporters of his website RedState.com were meeting for an annual conference. Several contributors pulled him aside and told him that Trump had just made a seeming reference to menstruation when complaining about a female Fox News host’s questions during Thursday’s debate....

All of this hoopla would not have occurred if Trump had just acknowledged that the questions were tough and that he welcomes tough questions because it gives him the chance to explain his agenda for making America great. Period. End of discussion.

Instead he had to foment about how unfairly he was treated and make idiotic comments (subject to all kinds of interpretations) about Kelly and the other moderators.

His after debate tweets and comments made him look petty and vindictive.

Around here, there is a Trump lovefest, but in the “real world”, people are scratching their heads and wondering what his problem is. They’re not liking what they’re seeing and are starting to move on to other choices.

Keep your eyes open and don’t play into the hands of those on the left who would LOVE to see Trump as the GOP candidate. They know he would be a disaster on the campaign trail.

Actually, the quote was “blood coming out of her eyes, or wherever” and you have to bend over backwards to an extreme degree to find that weird. You have to be looking to be offended, and propelled along by suggestion that he meant something he logically did not.

“...you want to know what someone is going to do, look at what they have done.”

For one, he didn’t get his money by entering politics broke and emerging at the end of his career rich, like ALL of them do. Does that count for anything?

Trump gained 4 points in NBC poll and people are calling for Rush not to use Erickson as a stand-in. Who lost what?

From Urban Dictionary

Feminist Nazi

Not to be confused with feminist, which pertains to legitimate forms of academic enquiry or helpful ways of seeing the world (ie. equal rights feminist). A Feminist Nazi is a woman who is overly uptight about supposedly “misogynistic” remarks or gestures, and will go out of her brazen way to let the world know. This is usually a manifestation of a deep insecurity about her gender or her own identity in particular. For instance, whereas it is typical for amiable compatriots to use the whole gamut of slang words proffered by the English language in an endearing manner or even in situations of conflict (ie. “quit being such a bitch sis!!!” “Quit being such a dick bro!!”) the Feminist Nazi will make it her personal calling to “deconstruct” the meaning of these phrases and attempt to expose their origins in the near-inherently oppressive nature of the male psyche.

The Feminist Nazi should not be invited to parties or to outings where groups of people are able to speak confidently and sarcastically with no other reward than a good laugh. She will piss both men and women off, equally.

“I’ve always read lots of posts telling everyone there is no perfect candidate so we must vote republican no matter who it is. Those same posters are now saying we can’t vote for Trump because he’s not perfect.”

How many of them voted for Romney in 2012?

Yes, Trump or Cruz. I am done. I have only three words to critics-DOLE, MCCAIN AND ROMNEY. Three strikes you are out. I have worked three miserable campaigns that were so vomitous I almost walked away from politics altogether.

TRUMP, CRUZ OR NO VOTE

See what the b**tches do when eight million sit this one out. They won’t have enough to scratch together to call a party.

“two conservative media rising-stars, Townhall’s Katie Pavlich and HotAir’s Mary Katharine Ham, both Fox News contributors and employees of RedState’s sister sites. Over texts and emails, they helped organize a push to disinvite Trump from the RedState Gathering” Bunch of Fox News contributors lol

You noticed that too, huh?

Looks like Faux was circling the wagons this weekend to protect their star.

Well, I haven't turned Faux on since Thursday night.

Looks like Ham, Pavlich and Erickson are all birds of the same feather. Who needs them?

Liberals love to state things as being definitive even if the facts are completely different. Time Mag is a joke of an anti-American liberal delusion.

All of this hoopla would not have occurred if...the MSM (of which Fox is included) had asked pertinent questions related to office of the Presidency (ala Newt last go-round) for the betterment of the electorate; instead of ‘gotcha’/irrelevant trash-TV...then feigning shock and outrage that a non-D.C. politician would dare, DARE I say, take ‘em to task.

“We report, you decide” my @ss.

I’m southern and get very weary of the GOPe wobbly on culture war clique here that lives to equate my white christian southern ancestry going back to Jamestown as the moral equivalence of Nazis

It’s no coincidence that as I peruse these threads observing Trump bashers that many of the Trump haters are also known South bashers with no feeling for culture war

Color me shocked

Thank you so much for pinging me, dearest wardaddy. I hadn't made the connection between the two, but I'm on alert now!

What would have been more prudent? Adding fuel to the fire or snuffing it out? I question Trump’s discernment.

Prudent? Bringing the question to the front as the joke it was, and dismissing the same sternly (ala Newt).

As I’ve posted prior, IMO, Cruz lost points by not doing anything close re: ‘talking to God’.

Me, I’d rather have a fighter than not.
