With the big Fox News debate tonight, and as we begin to pick our favored candidates for the upcoming presidential campaign, it is noteworthy to point out that, as we announced yesterday, Senator Ted Cruz will be coming to Mississippi next week to campaign and Senator McDaniel will be with him, and that Donald Trump threw his support behind Senator McDaniel last year against Thad Cochran.

But let's review, shall we?
You are defending a lifelong liberal in a conservative forum.
I am not. The end.
Bye.
Well I guess it's up to other readers to determine if you made a stupid claim, and are now trying to save face, or not ;)
Excellent comments
I was just on that thread.
It is disingenuous to say he was compared to Christ.
It was presented as Trump overturning the corruption inside the higher echelon of the evil GOPe.
He was just presenting an analogy to Christ's action with the money-changers. That's all. He never implied that Trump was Christ like.
Now, those on the evil left do look at Obama as their messiah.
He does better among Hispanics than the other Rs. He does better among dem women than most Rs do among R women. He draws more blacks than any other R although Carson is up there too. He draws dems as much as Rs. His appeal is not defined by party or race or positions on all the issues. He wants to save America...the others just want to be president.
See, it’s country over party now. People of all political persuasions see it, feel it, know it and fear it....our country is about done.
So irrespective of anything, all kinds of people are voting for country (over party).
Imo
Well wasn’t the repub party formed in part to oppose slavery/keep the union together? What parties existed before then? Dems and...? It wasn’t repub was it?
Civil War..dire times. Now...dire times.
I think a lot of people see it as party being less important than country.
With that lens you may see Trump’s appeal. Keeping the country over party thing in mind, I agree that his party (or parties) is not what this site has traditionally supported.
His party doesn’t much matter to the country over party people. It seems that you are not one of those people, yet. Or that you (still) believe that an R will always be better or some degree of that. No problem of course, it’s just different than the views of the country over party folks.
I still believe we’re on the same team.
I don't care about political parties; what matters more is ideology. I have argued since Trump's announcement that he is a liberal, because he is. He is a lifelong liberal and only recently does he "claim" to be conservative. See post# 62
I believe everything you’re saying south...even agree.
My post was meant only as an attempt to clarify and explain Trump’s numbers, both dem and repub, and either white, black, Hispanic. He pulls well enough now to win Indy.
In a way I hope he does run Indy...(provided the current polling would hold) to help destroy the establishment. But I fear that it could lead to a dem win. I just wanna see Cruz running things...I wouldn’t mind Trump slashing and burning though.
