The latest fundraising deadline was the first for several 2016 presidential candidates.

They provide a view into how all the Oval Office hopefuls are faring so far.

Furthermore, thanks to an impressive interactive map from the National Journal, we can chart each candidate’s fundraising by county.

By compiling the county numbers, we found that in total $615,514* was contributed by Pennsylvanians to the eligible GOP presidential candidates from April 1st to June 30th.

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz finished first with $188,154 in donations from thirty-three of the counties in the commonwealth. Florida Sen. Marco Rubio came in second with $78,160 from 26 counties. PA native and former Senator Rick Santorum brought in $76,086 over twenty-three counties.

The remaining candidates finished in the following order: neurosurgeon Ben Carson $74,375 (second-quarter high 39 counties); former Florida Governor Jeb Bush $61,000 (11); businesswoman Carly Fiorina $49,147 (17); Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul $45,897 (34); former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee $20,845 (13); South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham $13,450 (7); Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal $4,200 (4); businessman Donald Trump $3,200 (3); and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry $1,000 (3).

Poor George Pataki, the former Governor of New York, didn’t receive any donations from Pennsylvania.

Looking through all the statistics, Bush disappointed relative to his place in the field while Fiorina, who’s fighting to get into the first debate, did quite well.

*These numbers only concern contributions to official campaign committees and don’t include PAC donations. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Ohio Governor John Kasich did not enter the race until after the second quarter FEC deadline.

Cruz keeps right on winning the money-raising races and polling 5-6%. That really doesn’t add up. But the facts are the facts.

The only facts are the fundraising facts, in which Ted Cruz has raised more hard money than anyone else, and even more impressively, has raised that money from as much as FIFTEEN TIMES as many people as many people as Jeb Bush has(175,000 people). That’s strong and very real grass roots support right there. The polls .....they are not so much facts. They could be fiction(the lamestreams have repeatedly fiddled their polls in the past to push their own agenda), and the polls could be fleeting.

I actually think the polls are pretty accurate since, to a large degree, they are giving us pretty much the same picture.U

What is important at this point in the race is Name Recognition. That’s a big advantage right now for a few candidates. That advantage will decline rapidly with time as candidates drop out, the debates heat up and the advertising $bucks start to kick in. All of those factors help Cruz.

My current prediction for The Top Five finalists: Trump, Bush, Walker, Cruz and Kasich.

Can Cruz beat these guys?
I hope so. It won’t be easy.
