....... drawing enthusiasm from the GOP's most passionate conservatives.

I read the article and, frankly, there was no mention of exactly who these "passionate conservatives" are at all.

You see a lot of hype from former and erstwhile advisors and workers (shills) for the three that are discussed now, and you see GOP fundraisers and shills hyping up the "enthusiasm", but there is no "there" there.

If they were to try and connect the name "Cruz" with PASSIONATE CONSERVATIVES then I might believe some of the context. But this whole article is nothing but a cheerlead intended to dupe big money contributors IMO.

Conservatives my butt. Romney is a mewling RINO at best. I’d cheers him happily onto retirement but he is not capable of winning. The GopE know this.

Mitt has two jobs...

1. Make sure a conservative doesn’t get nominated
2. Make sure the DemocRat gets elected.

He did this in 2012, I have no reason to believe he wouldn’t do the same thing in 2016.

I wonder if the donor class is wise enough to know that they can’t control the party’s nomination once so many liberals are in the race. If they have any sense, they’re going to try to force at least one of those three out by making sure that the big money isn’t there.

When the Democrats are very clearly setting the table to run on hard-left, full-throated, class warrior economic populism, I cannot possibly think of a worse candidate to put up there than Mitt Romney.

Did they learn nothing from the last time?

Carville(Democrat): "It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing.
Romney is an ascendant guy."

Ideally we want a bunch of RINOs and only one or two conservatives to run for the nomination. The RINOs spit the RINO vote and we don’t split the conservative vote. The opposite has happened the last two cycles. Still can’t believe I voted for McCain and Romney but I did. Because the alternative was worse.

For the first time in recent memory, prominent conservatives see a Republican presidential field that could have as much competition among the party's establishment-minded prospects — like Romney — as its fiery conservatives....

Just name some of these prominent conservatives and I'll show you a RINO or a confused liberal (like the author of this bullsh*t). This statement is probably true to the extent his family members and friends are closet conservatives. Otherwise, I don't see a lot of conservatives rushing to support him as a viable candidate.

Mitt had his chance to be a conservative last time and he"screwed the pooch" with his less than "firery" response to the Benghazi question in his debate with Obama. I still get nauseated just thinking about it. The only thing he proved last time was that he is a loser...and we don't need losers mucking up the field of candidates.

With Cruz, Palen, Walker, and others to choose from he doesn't deserve another chance. Front runner my a$$.

There was talk a month or so ago that Lindsey Graham of SC was considering a run. He needs to be encouraged to get in the mix also. Turn the demons on the demons.

Bullcrap! No Conservative I know is cheering on Romney. Unless you consider, “If he is the nominee, I am staying home or writing in” cheering.
