Politico ^ | November 12, 2014 | SAM YOUNGMAN

..... Now, with a likely Paul presidential run mere months away, Democrats and Republicans are asking the same question and debating among themselves what will be the political silver bullet that finally brings him down.

And Ron, Junior is a chip off the old black. Pray tell what office does Sarah Palin’s father or mother aspire to, Einstein?

Anytime anybody says anything against US aid to Israel, they are automatically condemned as anti-semitic. In the Arabs versus Israel issue, my sympathies lie with Israel. However my total loyalty is to the interests of United States and that transcends interests of Israel.

Sarah Palin is immaterial at this point. She will not run for any national office from everything I have seen so far.

Between Ron and Rand, there is lot of difference. Ron Paul looks horrible on TV. His speech delivery makes him look really weird. Rand Paul looks actually good on TV and never gets the look of a deer in the headlights when asked gotcha questions. Ron Paul could never get standing-O in front of a Berkeley student crowd or NAACP. Rand Paul is a better politician. He speaks in tune with his current audience. Even our local radio talk show host Medhed, who has been against Rand Paul due to his foreign aid agenda, came away admiring him after his one on one interview. Medhed said “He is honest and is an effective communicator, I am impressed” paraphrasing.

But Rand Paul has put the cart before the horse. He has said things which make it impossible for him to win GOP nomination. He forgot that first one has to win nomination, only then you try to peel off votes from Hillary.

Ron has MANY followers at schools like Berkeley and in the black community, despite his obvious racism, or perhaps because of his anti-Semitism.

That’s only in your own mind. But one thing is for sure, Ron Paul’s racist and demented views are certainly not in the interests of the US. Far better that he and Coughlin and Lindbergh had never been born.

What is in the interest of the United States of America should always transcend interests of any other country. And that includes our allies UK, Canada & Israel. That does not make us racists, it makes us patriots.

Paul’s greatest weakness is his liberal politics and the way he flounders and stumbles and muddles his claimed positions as they shift and change.

The subject of this thread is Rand Paul, not Ron Paul. I never liked Ron Paul, he looks weird, acts weird, and is extreme on many issues.

Yet Rand Paul supported him for president before throwing himself behind Mitt Romney.

I don’t think the United States should be in the business of giving unconditional, year-after-year foreign aid to anyone. However, when a politician talks about ending foreign aid to Israel and never mentions ending aid to other countries, it’s at least understandable that some people might perceive them as anti-Semitic.

To be very clear, I’m not accusing Rand Paul of that, as he is one of those more in the camp of ending foreign aid to everyone. That is one of his strengths, which unfortunately is not enough to overcome his weaknesses.

Usually, the “let’s cut off foreign aid to Israel, but keep it flowing to the Muslims” politicians are on the left. (Jihad Cindy, Baghdad Jim, etc.)

Every item on that list shows what his actual opinions are, and has nothing to do with bad advice.

What you are saying is that it is against the interests of the United States to defend Israel which is nonsense and that those who suggest that she should have divided loyalties which is anti-Semitic.

And Paul has said and done things that are blatantly anti-Semitic aside from any of this.

You and your kind cost the lives of millions of Jews. Six million more of them and six million fewer of people like Paul and yourself and the US would be infinitely better off. Still, I find it difficult to blame you as you can’t really help it as you people suck it in with your mother’s milk.

Do not put words in my mouth. Show me where I said
“ it is against the interests of the United States to defend Israel....”

Americans must analyze what is best for United States.
If Americans determine it is in their interest to defend any other country, that is what should be done. If Americans determine it is not in their interest to defend any other country, then that is what should be done.

Americans did not kill 6 million Jews. DO not lay any guilt trip on Americans for any problems Israel could face. There is nothing in US Constitution about defending any country except the United States.

All major politicians have political advisers. I am sure Rand Paul has his circle of advisers. And if he makes any statements, he is responsible, not his advisers, for his statements.

Rand is not a seasoned politician or is getting bad advice.

What a strange thing to say, you must know that his entire life has been around politics and that he has worked on campaigns, including at least one presidential campaign.

Your other option seems to be telling us that someone is telling him what his positions are.

Why can't they just be Rand Paul's positions if when says they are?

So you caught yourself later, perhaps you are starting to see what we conservatives are trying to tell you about this Romneylike buffoon of a pandering rino that has trouble being truthful.
