A national tea party group will hold a news conference in Wichita on Monday with U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts, but leaders stopped short of saying whether the group plans to endorse the Republican incumbent.
It will be an announcement, said Taylor Budowich, executive director of the Tea Party Express, a California-based group that describes itself as the nations largest tea party political action committee.
The news conference, set for 11 a.m. at the Sedgwick County Republican party headquarters in west Wichita, will be attended by Roberts and local tea party leaders and activists, Budowich said.
Earlier this year the group endorsed physician Milton Wolf in his bid to unseat the three-term senator in the states Republican primary....

George Soros son just announced hes going in to stump with Orman.

Got any documentation for that? I’m not saying it’s not true, I’d just like to see documentation. Who the heck cares who George Soros’ son endorses; who the heck is he? Rumors travel like wild-fire in political campaigns. The latest one is propagated by Dick Morris that the Clintons put Leon Panetta up to dissing Obama on national TV because the Obamas and the Clintons hate each other. That could be; who knows. But, if you can provide documentation for your statement, I’d like to see it.
I’ve asked txhurl for some documentation on that zerosix. Don’t be too quick to jump on a bandwagon that isn’t moving. I’m not saying that txhurl is not telling the truth. I’d just like some documentation. If it’s true, I’ll do everything I can to get Roberts elected. But, I’ve learned not to take everything you hear in a political campaign as The Gospel. Politicians lie. Sad to say so do their followers. Keep your powder dry. And, if you and Tex can prove that is true; then we’ll go from there. Don’t be gullible.
HOLY SH*T! That does it for me. Thanks KC. There is a difference in “stumping” with someone and hosting a fundraiser. In this case, the fundraising is more damning than “stumping”. Unbelievable!
Context: He said that in 1966 with reference to how the GOP went after Barry Goldwater and got LBJ elected. He would go against that “commandment” when he faced off against Ford in 1976.
Reagan didn’t even create that slogan.
Would this be regarding Wolf's skipping the unity event, not endorsing the winner, no matter whom it is, or something else?
You might check out an article in the Kansas City (Red) Star, by Opinion Editor, Steve Rose (who is NO conservative, btw) wherein he points to Roberts and why.
I'd attach it but they will no longer let me camp on their website without paying for that privilege, as I've been there too often reading stories on our Kansas City Royals but you can find it at www.kansascity.com.
Nice statistics there, Bubba. The actual number of votes for Mittens was down Yosemitestless than 2M from Bush, and 1+M more than McCaine—both differences less than 3% of those who voted R. The only statistically significant difference came from Obama increasing the gibsmedat vote.
And as far as Reagan’s wins, why don’t you just give up—massive wins are what happens when you run a Conservative rather than a RINO. Y’all ought to try it sometime.
Are you sure you got the right guy here zerosix? I didn’t say “If everything you say is true....” in my comments to you. Wolf wasn’t part of our discussion. Were were discussing Greg Orman and George Soros’ son, Jonathan. But, on the subject of Wolf skipping the unity event, etc. Wolf is a strange duck. I don’t know what to think of him. Also, I’m wondering why Orman has to hook up with the likes of Jonathan Soros for a fundraiser. Orman has a gazillion dollars. Why tarnish your reputation by hanging out with a Socialist? And.........
FWIW, I live in Texas, but I’ve been a KC Chiefs fan since the ‘90s. They haven’t started out as good this year as last year. Help me cheer ‘em on this year.
Tea Party group endorses Roberts in Senate race
WICHITA, Kan. (AP) A national tea party group that derided U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts during Kansas’ bitter Republican primary race backed him on Monday in the general election.
Leaders of the Tea Party Express made the announcement Monday at the Kansas Republican Party headquarters in Wichita.

The Roberts camp needs to jump on that horse and ride it until it falls down.
Very well stated. Thank you.
As to the Orman/Soros connection, it says all that is needed for Roberts or the rest of the KS GOP to show that this dude isn't at all an Independent as he claimed.
Good. I hope Roberts is not caught up in the backlash against the party. He may be “establishment,” but he’s no RINO from what I can see.
Excellent point.
Hey bro. I’ve read your comments here on FR and I am 100% totally in agreement with you. I’m thinking your “arguments” would be much more effective and carry more weight, if they were a little shorter. LOL.... Just sayin’. Keep up the good fight, my friend.
Soros to Host Fundraiser for Independent Kansas Senate Candidate

That really pisses me off. I’m not a huge Roberts fan (as most of you prolly know) but, coalescing with a Socialist named Soros is beyond the pale. I hope Roberts kicks his butt.
I prefer defeating the RINO’s in primaries. Unless the RINO has done illegal shenanigans such as in Mississippi, then the RINO won people’s vote legitimately.
If the RINO/Moderate wins the primary in a legit manner, it can only mean one thing. And that is that the district does not have enough conservative voters. If the more conservative can not win in a republican primary, odds are overwhelmingly against him/her winning in general.
The it follows that all republicans should unite behind the RINO because otherwise you are helping the democrat.
