Hey Chrissy big freeking difference!
Mao’s Red Book was an instruction manual, Atlas Shrugged is a Cautionary Tale of what happens when large chunks of Mao’s Red Book are implemented.
Again...
Atlas Shrugged - Cautionary Tale, not an instruction Manual.
Mao’s Red Book - Instruction Manual of Tyranny.

It is a loooooooong and windy book....by an advocate of murdering children. Ayn Rand also absolutely despised President Ronald Reagan. Sure, she spins a fairly good yarn -- albeit very wordy with one-dimensional cartoonish characters (the good guys are always thin, smoke a lot and have sex outside of marriage) -- but since she's a Christ-denying atheist and abortionist, I personally have no use for the woman or her thoughts. A lot of RINOs and liberaltarins seem to wax rhapsodic over her. Guess they aren't pro-life and have no problems with abortion mills.

Because
Red Storm Rising is a pager-turner. Couldn't put it down. Years after starting it, I'm still not finished with
Atlas Shrugged. I guess I'm going to have to watch the movies.

I haven’t read Ayn Rand.

Agree! Heinlein said it better and shorter: “The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress.”

Her support for abortion alone doesn’t shoot down her words on government and individual rights.

Man, this is the blind leading the lame in a discussion of politics and economics. It’s fascinating in the way a car wreck or freak show is.

Heinlein had real world experience, including time as a naval officer. It shows.

I’m also reading 1984 again...
Another cautionary tale that the Libs use as a instruction manual.
