He's said over and over that he won't run for the White House a third time, but a new poll indicates that if Mitt Romney changed his mind and made another bid for president, he'd be the frontrunner among Republicans in the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire.
According to the Suffolk University/Boston Herald survey, which was released Thursday, 24% of Granite State Republicans and independents who lean towards the GOP say that Romney would be their first choice for their party's presidential nomination.
Among the potential 2016 GOP contenders, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was a distant second, at 9%, with Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky at 8%, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 7%.
While the survey may make headlines, it's important to remember that Romney's very well known in New Hampshire. He owns a vacation home in the state, has often appeared at GOP events in New Hampshire, and was governor of neighboring Massachusetts. Romney easily won the 2012 Republican primary, but lost the state by six percentage points to President Barack Obama in the general election....

Yes, but look at the failure rate for those who weren’t previous military, or at least a Governor who was over the Guard for four years.
“Dont get me wrong, I like Santorum. I didnt like that he got his butt kicked in his last Senate race, ..”
I can understand how people worry since he lost his most recent race badly, but he did come in second in a PRESIDENTIAL primary race even after that, with very little money. Look at all the money Romney had.
Plus, Santorum lost at a bad time for Republicans, and let’s not forget he won around 4 races out of 5, in a Dem district, and purple state.
Anyway, there’s a lot of other good potential candidates, too, and may the best person win, and may voters vote wisely next time.
“RINOs are the Devil.”
“Vote GOP!”
“Mittens Romney!”
“Romney leads GOP in polls.”
“Rick Perry sucks!”
“Rick Perry is man-pretty.”
“Up is down.”
“Rick Santorum is great!”
“Rick Santorum gets blown out by a dried out fern by 17%.”
“I will only vote for Sarah or Ted!”
-repeat-

Man, that Romney/Bush defender reminds me of OhioWfan.
What you think ? (those who knew her)

Pro-life, Tea Party conservative Claudia Tenney will be on Hannity’s radio show before the end of the show today. Coming up.
Get your friends in NY’s 22nd district to vote for her in the primaries this Tuesday. Only a quarter, give or take, vote in primaries, so your, or your friends’ votes, will be powerful.
She is voting against a VERY LIBERAL REPUBLICAN, Rep. Hanna (who is afraid to debate her).
Romney is the most uninspiring Republican nominee in my lifetime, the most uninspiring since Thomas Dewey at best. Been there done that. Don’t the titans of high finance who run the GOP ever learn? Also, no more Bushes on the ticket either.
I supported Santorum, but he dropped out before my state’s primary, so I cast a protest vote.
I will only vote for Rick, hes a winner in disguise.
I will only vote for Rick, hes a winner in disguise.
I will only vote for Rick, hes a winner in disguise.

I will only vote for Rick, hes a winner in disguise.
I will only vote for Rick, hes a winner in disguise.
Rick “Dick” Santorum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nominating a leftist who will campaign as “severely conservative” means the GOPe accepted a liar for the job
Amen.
BTW, Hanna is *by far* the most pro-abortion Republican in the House, and *by far* the most liberal Republican to represent a district carried by Romney in 2012. Unfortunately, Hanna convinced the Democrats not to run anyone in the district, and nabbed the Independence Party endorsement, so he’ll be the only liberal on the ballot in November even if Claudia Tenney beats him in the GOP primary. We need for Tenney to win the GOP primary, and then convince conservatives and Republicans to vote for her in the general (she would appear as the nominee of both the Republican Party and the Conservative Party) over the RINO Hanna.
Oh, you stop picking on my favorite Hee-Haw character.
He's better than Obama and that's all that counts,, Obama's my low-bar, heck Hillary even passes that test LOL
He already did it SOL. You are usually right all the time but you were optimistic too fast about him and he showed it already.
You missed the start of today's Morning Joe unfortunately.
They played the clip of Perry saying that homosexuality is a controllable compulsion like alcoholism is.
OK, that's an unpopular thing to say today but I agree with it philosophically.
Then they played a clip of Perry backtracking on that and saying that it was 'a poor choice of words' and that he 'stepped in it'.
Perry is a likable guy, ran a state, got reelected while taunting Dems, I like him, but he just is STILL a time bomb in front of cameras. We cant afford that.
What? Are you trying to say I am gay?
Rick is the Marlboro man without the horse or cigarettes. .
“They played the clip of Perry saying that homosexuality is a controllable compulsion like alcoholism is.”
If you have ever seen a true alcoholic, it is not controllable.
People who have an alcohol problem have a controllable problem.
But the real alcoholic is usually untreatable and death is usually the end result.
Indeed, indeed.
None of them lost as incumbent though save Clinton in 1980, by 4 points, followed by an immediate comeback in ‘82. His narrow loss for Congress in a GOP district in ‘74 actually bolstered his then non-existent profile. Bush’s loss in ‘78 was ancient history when he was elected Governor.
Obama was curbstomped by Rush but that was before he was jammed down our throats as the next big thing.
For an a seasoned incumbent Senator to lose by 17 points is a stunning rebuke, and polls showed him losing a rematch. To go from that to President would be a hell of a comeback.
Re Hanna: Boy do I regret touting him in 2010 (based on his near win in 2008). One of the worst (or maybe THE worst) Republicans in the House, in any district, let alone a Republican-leaning one.
What a rodeo clown.
“Romney is the most uninspiring Republican nominee in my lifetime, ..”
I’ve heard a lot of Republicans didn’t like Romney that much, but voted for him because they THOUGHT he could win.
I do hope Republicans don’t make that mistake again in the next presidential primary.
Many thought Romney could get the independent vote, and guess what - he DID! However, he didn’t get enough of the base. When will people learn you can’t ignore the base.
I heard Claudia Tenney on Hannity’s radio show say liberals are spending $2 million against her, and she only has $150,000.
Maybe after being on Hannity’s she’ll raise more. She was also on Laura Ingraham’s awhile back, Monica Crowley’s show, tv and other radio shows.
Claudia said the liberal pacs are spreading lies that she is too liberal, even though she has VERY HIGH CONSERVATIVE marks from a number of conservative groups, even as high as 100%.
It’s funny that LIBERAL groups, trying to get her LIBERAL Republican opponent to win, are trying to spread the lie that he is conservative.
Hanna even told women to contribute $$ to the Dem Party.
Hanna is so pro-abortion, he votes for late-term abortions.
I don't know about that,
I love his (Rick Perry) taunting the other NY and CA libs governors on jobs, calling those companies in those lib states to move to TX.
Recall that Toyoda is moving from CA to Texas, screw you Jerry Brown libs.
But he sure is still not ready to get beat up in a GOP primary and race, my example of him backtracking
Nancy Pelosi says: "I pray for Republicans every Sunday" (and Perry backtracks)
Geeze, I really pray that Gov Walker can survive this second Dem onslaught to take him out.
You didn't say, "Please".
