Hes a 42-year-old freshman senator, but when asked by Jonathan Karl on This Week if hes ready to be president, Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida answered without hesitation.
I do but I think thats true for multiple other people that would want to run I mean, Ill be 43 this month, but the other thing that perhaps people dont realize, Ive served now in public office for the better part of 14 years, said Rubio. Most importantly, I think a president has to have a clear vision of where the country needs to go and clear ideas about how to get it there and I think were very blessed in our party to have a number of people that fit that criteria.
When asked if he was qualified to run, Rubio reiterated that the Republican Party has several qualified candidates.
The question is what whos vision is the one that our party wants to follow? he said.
Rubio who spoke to Karl on Friday in New Hampshire said that if he decides to seek the presidency, he would not simultaneously seek re-election as a senator for the Sunshine State.
I believe that if you want to be president of the United States, you run for president, he said. You dont run for president with some eject button in the cockpit that allows you to go on an exit ramp if it doesnt work out.(continued)

——You may think you are ready, but as easily as McCain and Schumer manipulated you, you are far from ready.——
That’s my biggest beef with Rubio....
Rubio is not stupid...he knows the sleazy history of both those sob’s....
I guess he was arrogant, thinking he could handle them....
They burned Rubio good...
Rubio Schmubio.
Maybe Chuckie Schummer (A$$hole-NY) can be his campaign manager. Karl Rove would be pissed.
Open borders didn't work out too well for the native Americans, nor for Mexico when they opened up immigration to any of us Gringos that wanted to move to TX.
Those who fail to learn the lessons of history....
Then it is almost like someone told him the train was leaving with or without him and he decided to get on the train.
Lol, good fer you, Sparky.
LOL, you’ll take it if you can get it, Amnesty Boy. It won’t be with my help, though.
He has almost no executive experience.
No, Ice cream man, No.
Just go away, Marco. Take Jeb and Rand with you.
Well said.
Quit whining about Rubio.
After Obama, anybody who can speak without note cards or a teleprompter is “ready to be President”.
“Ready” is NOT a qualification!
Rubio is nothing more than McCain with a accent and without the military service.
Rubio wants to arm and support every faction around the world. And at the same time, he supports amnesty.
Rubio is a classic invade the world, invite the world Republican.
Of Venezuela, maybe.
President of Mexico.
good word...you made me reach for a dictionary
I like Rubio. He’s been a tremendous senator for Florida and he gets my vote if he runs.
Rubio/Cruz is my dream ticket!
