After the Republican establishment gloated on Tuesday for surviving primary challenges against underfunded Tea Party challengers, conservative talk radio host Mark Levin ripped into the Republican leadership for preferring candidates they can coerce to support policies their conservative constituents oppose.
Levin said the question of whether the Tea Party is dead is a stupid one, and he asked why establishment Republicans were spending "millions of dollars laundered through Karl Rove's group and Mitch McConnell's National Republican Senatorial Committee" to fight and trash conservatives:
"These "Republican leaders" only want to be in the majority if they can control the people we send to Congress. Mitch McConnell does not want any more Ted Cruzes or Mike Lees, or anybody else whos going to give him trouble. He wants Republicans who are going to lie down and do what he tells them to do.
John Boehner and Eric Cantor? Exactly the same thing. These people are not about empowering the American people; theyre about empowering themselves. They see a majority in the House and a majority in the Senate, not as an opportunity to serve the people, but to serve themselves."(continued)

Go Mark go!
Thank goodness they're gone now. FR has improved with age if the country isn't.
Tillis is only 50/50 to win.
Tillis is worse than Lindsey Graham or Mike Rounds.
They’re not gone
The Clown Posse still lurks?
Incumbency is the single greatest corrupting influence in our entire political system.
A bunch of clowns pretending to be conservative lurks.
If the GOP alienates the Tea Party the GOP is history as far as ever getting elected again. The numbers don’t lie. They can’t overcome the Marxist Party without the Tea Party voters.
True. But as long as the tea types keep finding excuses to vote for them, NO MATTER WHAT, they are in control. You would think by now some TEA candidate would have played hardball and campaigned on that very issue.
And so shall they be.
Morning Joe banging his guitar: “Republicans!”
Ya-hoo.
Last presidential election should have showed them with out the tea party they will loose.
But we call um the stupid party for a reason.
But they ultimately don’t care. They are simply playing their part in the Uniparty as a pressure relief valve for ‘change’.
No problem, they’ll get cushy jobs with their Wall St. buddies and foreign lobbyists when they leave office.
They will come out to implore us to vote for ever R no matter how far left
You are correct.
Well it’s a lesser evil when a Republican does exactly what a Democrat does because the R makes it so...
Simple really!
Really?
I don’t know if Lindsey Graham is going around SC encouraging primary challengers against conservative members of the legislature. That’s what Tillis has done.
