Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin endorsed Maryland Congressional candidate, former Secret Service agent for Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama, and best-selling author Dan Bongino Friday.
Palin called Bongino, who is running in Maryland's Sixth Congressional District, a "unique candidate in politics today" because "his boots on the ground experience in Washington, D.C. has given him the wisdom and warrior spirit we need to stop the far left liberal agenda that is fundamentally transforming America."
Palin cited Bongino's background of "rigorous training as a U.S. Secret Service agent." She said he will "put to good use the positive characteristics that have been instilled in him with tenacity and dedication to principles."
"I was proud to support Dans candidacy in 2010 for U.S. Senate against an entrenched liberal in a state that many in the GOP had long abandoned. Were not giving up!" she wrote. "Maryland deserves the best, and Congress sure needs the help, so Dan is back, more prepared than ever! Its an honor to support Dan in his bid to reclaim a very important Congressional seat."
Palin mentioned that these "elections are more than just liberal vs. conservative or Republican vs. Democrat its come down to us vs. them the people vs. the politicians," and Bongino is running for the right reasons......

Another politicians poll numbers about to go up?
Amazing how almost everybody Palin indorses takes a large jump in the voting polls, yet she is considered a washed-up has-been and a totally irrelevant person.
LOL!
Bongo no is awesome...at least in the opinion of this Marylander.
Ive seen him on Fox News a few times he is awesome I know odds are against him since its Maryland but I wish him the best..he is a true class act
She endorsed Bongino the last time he ran when he lost. The Palin endorsements aren’t what they were in 2010. Looking back at 2012, there was only 1 race (a primary) in which you can say Palin herself made the difference: her endorsement of Deb Fischer in the GOP Nebraska primary. Cruz, as much as he says she made the difference, was already assured of making the runoff with Dewhurst, and won so decisively that Palin’s endorsement seems to have mattered less than he claims. Cruz was already wholeheartedly backed by both the Senate Conservatives Fund and the Club For Growth long before Plain weighed in with hers. And there were other candidates Palin supported in 2012 that came to nothing, notably Sarah Steelman in the Missouri GOP Primary, who only manage to finish third.
Her 2013/2014 track record of endorsing is even spottier. She traveled personally all the way to New Jersey to try to press for Lonergan and he still lost. She backed Katrina Pierson this year in Texas, who also lost. Palin has decided to throw her endorsement to Karen Handel in Georgia - again. The first Palin endorsement there of Handel for the governor’s primary resulted in her losing back then. She’s decided to rush out a whole slew of her endorsements last month - curiously timed to coincide with the first airing of her new TV show’s debut. But many of those she’s decided to back are candidates that again were LONG AGO endorsed by conservative stalwart supports like SCF, Club For Growth, numerous TEA Party groups and the like. So senate candidates like Sasse & McDaniel will in no way be able to claim anything from her was the turning point. Sasse was already the most well funded GOP primary man, and McDaniel has made serious inroads without her anyway. And it’s odd she doesn’t stand up to support a guy like Matt Bevin, a real conservative, or JD Winteregg - because she knows both of them are destined to lose. Which is even further odd because if in fact she had such magical endorsement power, you’d think she would WANT to jump on board for them to get them over the threshold against McConnell & Boehner, respectively. So truth be told, the Palin endorsement brand isn’t what it was. And it’s highly likely it won’t be much until she herself drags her own butt onto a ballot again, instead of another TV show on an obscure cable channel nobody watches.
He should win! We need people like him in Congress.
Fat lot of good that’s going to do. Bongino is FANTASTIC, but this is Maryland, the Freak State. Virtue, competence, determination, and broad experience can’t win here.
Well that surely did not happen in Southwest Florida with her endorsing the RINO Benaquisto who lost handily. I was shocked with that endorsement and have now, unfortunately, lost my solid belief in her endorsements.
Me too. My daughter lives in Michigan. She was going to a Sarah Palin book signing and wondered what she should say. I told her to ask Sarah to endorse Dan Bongino again. My daughter reported that a big smile crossed Sarah’s face and she said how much she likes Dan,
Palin mentioned that these "elections are more than just liberal vs. conservative or Republican vs. Democrat its come down to us vs. them the people vs. the politicians," and Bongino is running for the right reasons...
A whole lot of words to say “I hate Sarah Palin”.
Yesterday in his second hour, Mark Levin went down the various advantages that the “Big Money” has to emily against the TEA Party” through Karl Rove in order to defeat them.
These techniques include phony TEA Parties, Phony “conservative” radio hosts, and even phony TEA Party candidates who won under that banner but have ingratiated themselves to the McConnells of the GOP.
So you hate Sarah Palin. So does Obama, and his entire party. But what I ask you is this: What have you done to defeat the marxists lately?
Palin mentioned that these “elections are more than just liberal vs. conservative or Republican vs. Democrat its come down to us vs. them the people vs. the politicians,” and Bongino is running for the right reasons.
“We need more of ‘We the People’ like Dan to take on Washington and take our country back,” Palin said, noting that Bongino was a “staunch defender of our liberties and Constitution.”
At least she is out there speaking up for those who hold our values. And the instant publicity for these underdogs is necessary to educate low-information republicans and independents, who think they can’t fight the establishment.
I agree 100%
Sarah Palin’s not running for Congress in Maryland, Dan Bongino is. And if he wins, she didn’t do anything more than publicize his candidacy and give him a high-profile endorsement which gave him more exposure.
So what she’s doing is looking for candidates who in her judgement will carry the Reagan banner forward. Even if they face long odds, such as Bongino does in heavily Democrat Maryland, it’s worth it to give them a platform from which to speak.
Forget winning percentages, etc. Advancing conservatism can happen when we put principled candidates on the ticket who run with honor and integrity.
The wins will come naturally over time. This is gonna take several election cycles to turn around because we didn’t get where we are now overnight.
But if we can add 5 Senators and 10 Congressmen in each of the next 3 election cycles, we will hold an awful lot of clout.
It speaks volumes that the "Dude" was in the White House Situation Room and the President's whereabouts, on the night of the Benghazi attacks, are still a mystery.
I worked within the walls of the 18 acre White House complex for many years and assure you that they absolutely know where the President was.
The answer is uncomfortable and therefore they ignore the question.
The country doesn't need anymore silliness or characters from bad 1980's buddy flicks, it needs stern and serious leadership. We will shake this broken system up in November.
A better tomorrow is ahead and I plan on taking the fight to any member, of either political party, standing in the way.
Signature
Dan Bongino
Bongino served in the elite Secret Service Presidential Protective division from 2006 until 2011.

Since this ridiculous comment states the wrong premise to begin with, it’s also the ridiculous false alternative you find in a worshipper’s mentality. As if the only positions one could have is you either “hate” Palin, or if not, she then must be loved (by inference). It’s this worship mentality she instill in her shills that they bristle even at the slightest criticism of her. But the facts as I stated them are indeed accurate. Her endorsement power HAS diminished from what it was. In 2010 she was gold standard - almost everyone she decided to endorse turned to gold. But embedded in that was an implicit promise to her flock: she would suit up and run for POTUS in 2012. When she backed out in 2011 from that POTUS run, many of her followers felt abandoned. Which would explain the diminished returns her endorsements recorded in 2012. And when she actually endorsed Orrin Hatch in 2012 - he probably being one of THE most establishment GOP types, her stock fell further still. Now, as of today, she’s endorsed a significant number of those for running for office, yet far more have lost than won. The exact inverse from 4 years ago. Since Palin has basically staked her reputation politically on her power to select candidates for office, the fact it’s waned doesn’t help her. And in truth, she herself has helped to diminish it by simply telling everyone else what to do. She tells politicians how to vote; she tells voters whom to back; and then she trots off to go do her next television show.
It’s not going to be long before someone can start to question - legitimately - what it is that Palin herself is actually going to do to solve problems? Telling Paul Ryan his budget sucks (and it well might) is one thing. Fine - then tell Palin to drag her butt onto a ballot, get enough votes to win, and write a better one (if she can). It’s far too easy for her to stand on the sidelines with her waning megaphone and screech about how others are failing. But if she decides not to stand for office to solve the political problems she does nothing but build her fame upon (i.e., her brand she cashes in on), then why should anyone listen to her? Criticism of others has a shelf life - for anyone about anything. Sarah Palin has spent the last 5 years doing little more than complaining about the political performances from others. It’s time for her to put up or shut up. Let’s see her run for an office again. Let’s see her have to go sidle up to the financiers she’s going to need to underwrite a campaign. Let’s see her have to deal with a media that would have to cover her, a media she’s done nothing but immaturely antagonize with adolescent name calling. Let’s see her walk the walk about all of the policy decisions she thins are so simple to enact - from the cheerleader sidelines. If she succeeds at any of that, fine. But all upper case type-screaming from her facebook page, and signing deals with an obscure cable channel to star in her own TV show is not problem solving.
And..what have I done? I vetted candidates on my own time for a TEA Party group so they could endorse (helping to unearth the RINO-ness of the atrocious Monica Wehby in Oregon). I donate my hard earned money to the Senate Conservatives Fund. So I do actual deeds. Unlike some legal eagle loudmouth criticizer radio host who is simple the Morton Downey Jr. of talk radio.
Well, it sounds like you HAVE done your fair share and then some so congrats. I stand corrected if I thought otherwise.
But I also think you have an extensive knowledge of every “sin” that Sarah Palin is guilty of, as though tearing her apart politically is important to you.
For what it’s worth, even though my name is palin45potus that’s more wishful thinking combined with a lack of an adequate replacement that is responsible for my not having changed it, because I doubt that she is gonna run. I hope so, but it’s just my gut feeling on this day and hour. She’s got a life in Alaska with a family who like it there, so if she sees someone who fits her idea of a solid conservative, I suspect she’ll be “all in” in terms of support.
But I ask you: Why do you feel the need to denigrate her so? Do you want her to go away and never be heard from again? If so, why? Should we leave the world of GOP politics to Karl Rove and the “Big Money” people who he represents? Because they can and will change sides and support the Dems for a dollar more.
At any rate, keep up all your hard work for conservatives.
“But I ask you: Why do you feel the need to denigrate her so? Do you want her to go away and never be heard from again? If so, why? “

Instead of you asking me questions, let me turn the tables on you. What is it you see as her great contribution - now? I’ll give her that her power to pick the right candidates in 2010 was of immeasurable value. But she clearly doesn’t have this anymore. She’s backing candidates, but where she was once the standard of conservatism in a candidate, she’s picking candidates that no longer win, thus her contributions politically speaking, are marginal. So if her greatest contribution is severely diminished, her value also diminished. She’s not making policy; she’s not having to deal with any conflicts about the office of state. She’s merely offering criticisms to her opponents without any means or even intention to play on the same field, which is namely serving in an electoral capacity.
Sounds to me like it’s your desire to elevate her to a much higher plateau than she actually has earned which is causing this discourse. Sarah Palin has not held - nor has she sought - any political office in 5 years. She’s been a Fox News Contributor - but appears only in settings which are friendly to her (Hannity would rather step on his tongue than ever seriously take her to task for her words). She’s signed contracts for two different television reality series shows. So why is it you think she has anything to contribute at all?? Rather than seeing me as someone just eager to rip her a new one as a matter of course, from my point of view it’s you who wish to elevate her to a status far loftier than one she’s actually earned.
Sarah Palin is NOT Reagan. She parrots a lot of what Reagan believed, yes. But he formulated them; and articulated them brilliantly. She simply parrots. His training as an actor made him very much at home in front of a camera, an expert at commanding it through extemporaneous delivery and improvisation (she is far less skilled at both qualities). And Sarah Palin is in NO WAY a Margaret Thatcher. She has exactly zero of that Thatcher intellect, and none of the Thatcher parliamentary skill. So why it is you wish to elevate her is really the question. Not why I question her.
As I stated in the first exchange, you hate her.
That’s fine, it’s a free country.
And I don’t need to defend myself against you. Think whatever you want.
But as I said, you sam to know each and every shortcoming she supposedly has in great detail, as though you have a vested interest in running her down.
So no, I won’t let you “turn the tables on me” because i already said that I don’t think she’s gonna run. i just think that she wants the same things that I want, which is a renewal of America.
And I feel bad that she apparently let you down so badly. I guess that she owes you a personal apology.
I wish him the best of luck. Who is his opponent?
