Sarah Palin forcefully defended the only woman fighting for the Republican nomination for Georgia's open Senate seat and hit back Thursday against a rival's apparent dismissal of Karen Handel's high school education.
David Perdue, the former Dollar General CEO, said that "there's a high school graduate in this race, OK? I'm sorry but these issues are so much broader, so complex" as he talked about the economy and the federal deficit during a January meeting captured on video....

The “hyper-educated” are much more dangerous than those who went through the School of Hard Knocks. The administration in power is the greatest proof of that.

Benjamin Franklin never graduated high school or college and he’s thought of in the same breath as Newton and Da Vinci. Lincoln hardly ever saw the inside of a classroom. The list is endless.

I have an associates and I can gaurrantee you that I know a whole lot more about a whole lot of things than a lot of Bachelors, Masters, and PhD’s out there. I’m sick of eletist snobs. These are the “smarter than the rest of us” bums who are uniformly destroying America.
I’m assuming her high school diploma is her own accomplishment and not Affirmative Action.

I think there was a time that a college education was worth more than some of the ridiculous courses offered today.

I don’t remember there being a requirement of having a college degree to occupy any seat in any government.
The first Dollar General store opened in Scottsville, Kentucky, on June 1, 1955, the concept was that no item in the store would cost more than one dollar. The idea became a success, and other stores owned by J.L. Turner and his son Cal Turner were quickly converted. By 1957, annual sales of Dollar Generals 29 stores were $5 million. The Turners did not reach this level of success without obstacles. James Luther (J.L.) Turners father died in an accident in 1902 when J.L. was only 11. J.L. had to quit school so he could work the family farm and help provide for his mother and siblings. He never completed his education. J.L. knew his limited education demanded that he become a quick study of the world around him.
