Who I am Voting For (Texas)
Vanity | 2.19.2014 | Meanwesttexan

Posted on 02/19/2014 12:59:13 PM PST by MeanWestTexan

After due research, this is my voting list. I came back special to Midland for this vote, so want to make sure I am correct:

Would appreciate comments and concerns:

1. Senate --- Stovall (close second, Stockman) The Great Cornholio is a disgrace with what he said and has done to Cruz. He's got to go.

2. Governor --- Greg Abbot

3. Lt. Governor -- Dan Patrick (Do worst has to go)

4. Attorney General ---- Gen Paxton

5. Comptroller --- Harvey Hildebran, hands down (Met Glenn Hegar -- VERY unimpressed.)

6. Commisioner GLO --- David Watts. George P Bush is a nice kid, but I am sick to death of Bushes. Knocking him out will potentially keep Jeb from running for President, as it demonstrates Bush-fatigue.

7. Railroad Commissioner -- Ryan Sitton. He's an engineer, very pro-business, smart guy. I've met him and am impressed.

8. Supreme Court --- Hecht, Brown, and Johnson

9. State Senator -- reluctantly voting for Mike Cannon. I know Mike; don't particularly care for him, but the voting record of Kel Seligar is marginal, at best.

Also voting against my Congressman, Mike Conaway. He's marginally OK, but was a big Myth Romney supporter, so I am going for Brown.

Forgot Ag Commisioner:

I think Sid Miller on that one.

And “Gen Paxton” is “Ken Paxton” not General Paxton. Sorry.

Only the Lt. Gov. position has an incumbent running in the primary so Texas may get a
new slate of State Officials. Do you have any indications of turnout in your area?

I concur.

He’s part of the Bush crew, though, which is a big deal in Midland, so he probably has it wrapped up. Still going to vote for the other guy.

TEXANS: GET OUT TO VOTE AND CALL ALL YOUR FRIENDS!!!

Your vote is worth 10 times as much in the primaries because so few people vote in primaries.

Just Texas Freepers ALONE could change the outcome!

In some districts only 20 or 30 people show up to vote ALL DAY

Sure, but for whom?

Do you concur with this list?

FYI to Freepers in Kaufman County:
Early voting will ONLY use the electronic machines. You will NOT have choice of paper or electronic during early voting.
On Primary Day, March 4th, ONLY PAPER ballots will be used. If you can, please VOTE ON MARCH 4TH- PAPER BALLOTS LEAVE A PAPER TRAIL.
Say thank you to our GOPe Republicans.

RE: Atty Gen race.

I’ve known Dan Branch for over 40 years. He’s a good man.

But in the end; I think whoever Cruz decides to support will be all there is to say about that.

God speed to our Texas friends. We hope you force Cornyn in a run-off.
That alone would motivate conservatives nationwide going into the primary
season.

...AGREE, Branch is 1st choice and Smitherman as another good conservative but he isn’t a lawyer in the top legal job in the state.

ymmv

This list is pretty good

The important part is to force a runoff

Thanks. It was the best I could figure.

I am open to suggestions, clearly, or wouldn’t post this.

“Cruz is supporting and making ads for Ken Paxton and I agree with him!”

That’s a big deal. I am sure Branch is a good guy, and would love to make room for him, but I really respect Cruz’s motives and efforts.

I met Ken Paxton a little while back and we gto to talk one on one. I know he’s a Christian not by his own words but by his actions, is fiscally conservative, and seems very genuine. I’m voting for him.

I’m supporting Todd Staples for Lt Gov. I cannot vote for Dan Patrick. He’s a flip flopper AND he endorsed David Dewberry as the TRUE conservative against Ted Cruz, in the last Senate race.

I like Paxton for Atty General and Ted Cruz seems to like him, as well.

I am going with Hegar for Comptroller. He’s been our area State Rep and has been fine. I don’t know much about Hildebrand.

I like David Watts for Land Commissioner and Wayne Christian for RR Commissioner.

I like your SC picks, and from what I’ve read, so does Sen Cruz ;)

Also going with Stovall for Texas Senator. Anybody But Cornpone.

TEXAS....GET OUT AND VOTE!!!
