In a speech Jan. 8 on the House of Representatives floor, Jackson Lee suggested renaming government welfare.
"Maybe the word 'welfare' should be changed to something of, 'a transitional living fund,'" Jackson Lee said, according to a post on The Minority Report blog. "For that is what it is - for people to be able to live," she said....

It's not "transitional" congresswoman, when you're on it your whole life, just like your mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and on back.

By "transitional" she means "permanent."
Progressives always say the exact opposite of what they actually mean. They think we're too stupid to notice.

People get it for their entire lives, and pass it on to their children. Transition from what to what? Birth to death? Human to Ascended Being?
Let’s just get the Marxism out in the open and call it a Basic Living Stipend (BLS).
But, then, you’d have to give it everyone, wouldn’t you? And you can’t buy votes by giving everyone the same thing.
So, then we’d have to add on Supplements to the BLS and give those supplements to the usual purchased vote groups, like blacks, women (single only of course), and gays.
The biggest problem with American Communism is that the biggest idiots in politics want to run it.

You can’t transition from being a lifelong leech and society parasite.

“Transitional” from what? Birth to death?

This is the type of left-think that came up with Affordable Care Act. Say exactly the opposite of what something is. So when Miss Lee says Transitional she means Permanent

I love that expression. The origin goes back to the 1800s, I think.

Nope, transitional from generation to generation. I think we're on our 3rd generation of "poor" folk since the passing of LBJ's "Great Society." The SOB.

We now have a generation that is growing up not knowing one single person in their family to have ever held a job.
Gonna be really hard to turn this tide.
