U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio understood he was taking considerable risk by putting his name on the immigration reform bill currently being crafted by the so-called Gang of Eight.
He expected to alienate some conservatives, but did he anticipate Sarah Palin to be among them?
The former Republican governor of Alaska took to Twitter on Sunday to call Rubio out for his flip-flop on immigration reform.

Politicians wonder why we can't trust them? Campaign flip-flops like this and carve-out bribes in the Amnesty... http://fb.me/2IsL1uspC

As noted by Twitchy, Palins tweet links to a story from TownHall.com detailing Rubios flip-flop over amnesty for illegal immigrants, based on comments see video below he made while campaigning for his current seat:
"During a debate with opponents Rep. Kendrick Meek and Gov. Charlie Crist, candidate Rubio argued that giving illegal immigrants an earned path to citizenship, which Crist, Sen. John McCain and former President George W. Bush had advocated, is basically amnesty.
Rubio, who won that 2010 election, is now the leading Republican in the U.S. Congress pushing for illegal aliens to be given the earned path to citizenship that he himself insisted was code for amnesty only three years ago."(continued)

Oh, I know in my heart of hearts that you’re right. It’s just nice to daydream, hehe..
Don't count him out. The GOP-e love him, and if he's got enough crony capitalistic bucks in his account, Karl Rove will, too.
I have a new theory that he'll be adopted by Jeb Bush so he can be part of the Bush dynasty. He'll become Marco Rubio-Bush and will be next in line to the throne after Jeb.
Re 33, great post. It summarizes everything of importance in this fetid matter.
I’m.with you on the daydream,seems it’s all that’s left.
Palin has side-stepped the immigration issue since 2008. It is good to see her finally taking a strong stand the last couple of weeks.
I wonder how much the Jan Brewer conversion and the Rubio flip-flops influenced her?
Palin still has some fence minding as a result some of her endorsements the last few years.
Better late than never.
I hear a fly buzzing. Anyone else hear it?
But she’s supposed to be...”irrelevant”, right?
Yep... and the astonishing part is how he can lie full-speed in an interview without batting an eye. Too bad he's not using that intellect for purposes that actually serve the long-term needs of the nation. Instead he's bargained the nation's future for some perceived short-term political gain (which won't come to fruition, I might add).
Great insights, with one minor correction. He’ll be running for reelection in 2016. There’ll be a totally different dynamic at work than the mid-term Tea Party fervor that propelled him to victory in 2010. 2016 will be Hillary’s year, especially in a state that is turning blue. Whether he survives the primary that year isn’t so much the issue as the general election. He very likely will be defeated.. rather soundly .. by a liberal dem.
“Whether he survives the primary that year isnt so much the issue as the general election. He very likely will be defeated.. rather soundly .. by a liberal dem.”
It is possible that in order to survive he’ll pull a Charlie Crist. When it is clear the Republicans voters won’t come out to reelect him to the Senate, and the Republican establishment declines to give him a spot on the national ticket, he can declare the Republican party doesn’t care about minorities and jump to Democrat side. It would be a huge PR bonanza for the Democrats in 2016.
Perhaps this is has been the plan all along. Could Rubio be a Trojan horse hispanic star predestined to switch sides at exactly the right moment? Time will tell.
Someone who's pretty sure that if he carries their water on this and other things, the establishment will make him the nominee in 2016. The game is completely rigged. Anyone paying attention would have recognised that by now.
I already posted on his facebook page to not bother running for president in 2016, that I will do everything I can to oppose his success and that I will never trust him again.
I find it very creepy that The Rube's Chief of Staff is a former Soros associate.
Thanks for taking the time to write a spot on post.

Most likely, silence regarding some presently undisclosed misdeeds.
He got ‘Boehnered.’
Rubio and Paul are now out of the running for the presidency. Who would have guessed?
