Tea Party will destroy GOP in 2014, as Palin destroyed McCain in 2008 (Hahaha!)
The Hill ^ | May 24, 2013 | Brent Budowsky

Posted on 05/24/2013 3:33:26 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

For the far right, dreams die hard and delusions never end. As Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), who represents a congressional GOP with unpopularity of 75 percent, prepares to summon former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, with popularity above 60 percent, to testify, the overreach of House Republicans now threatens Republican control of the House. The triumph of the Tea Party within Republican politics is a gift to Democrats in 2014, as the disastrous vice presidential nomination of Sarah Palin in 2008 helped propelled Barack Obama to a two-term presidency.

In the latest poll I've seen about 2014, a generic poll by Washington Post/ABC, Democrats led Republicans by 48 percent to 40 percent — a huge margin. Of course, polls will vary. But the idea of a House GOP that is stunningly unpopular running inquisitions against President Obama, whose popularity towers above the GOP, and Clinton, whose popularity towers above the GOP even more, is a political disaster in the making.

The prime directive for the Tea Party is tax breaks for the rich and tax breaks for themselves — hardly a winning position in a nation that wants more equity and fairness for all. The Tea Party projects a politics and negativity, which is why it is so highly unpopular with voters. Palin represents a negativity and eccentricity and out-of-the-mainstream rightism, which is why she was such as disaster for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), why she left the governorship after half of one term and why she has held no public office in recent years.....

Because they are. Conservatism loathes pedos. There has never and will never be a conservative pedo because that like saying flammable water.

But liberals gravitate to pedos...and vice versa. Because they share an identical philosophy.

Tea Party will destroy GOP in 2014...

It could. But out of the ashes may rise a stronger, more focused conservative party.

Interesting.

Obviously the libs are afraid Palin might run again without the McCain anchor.

I hope she does not.

She is too decent a person to get mired down in the DC filth.

But as a voice of reason to cheer the spineless on, she fills the bill.

Just my opinion:

The only way Conservatives lose in 2014 in keeping the House and gaining control of the Senate is if:

1.The millions of Conservatives who wouldn't vote for Romney in 2012 stay home again and do not support the Republican candidates.
2.The Conservatives who spend most of their time trashing Republicans in Congress for not doing enough start trashing he DEMS instead.
3.The Conservatives begin NOW to show their OUTRAGE over the issues that are MOST important or MOST outrageous:

A British Soldier was killed by an Islamist with a machete, in broad daylight and in front of British citizens. And Obama still says Islam is a religion of peace!

American limbs were blown off in Boston and a little 8 year old American Son died too! On September 11th, 2011, 3 American Son's throats were slit, in case you didn't know that. And on September 11th, 2012, 4 American Sons were murdered by Islamists and our President knew about their desperate fight and went to bed.

Oh, and in case you didn't know this, American Sons and Daughters are coming home without their limbs because the terrorists plant IEDs on the roads that our Troops are ordered to walk on foot! Some of our Sons and Daughters aren't coming home because they aren't allowed to fire at the enemy until the savage fires at them! That is Obama’s “Rules of Engagement” don't ya know!

Oh yeah, and some Americans were denied tax exempt status by the IRS, outrageous, terrible, isn't it?! The IRS target list was in the news over a year ago...where was the outrage then? Oh never mind, too many folks were busy trashing Romney/Ryan back then to bother with outrage over that!

as the disastrous vice presidential nomination of Sarah Palin in 2008 helped propelled Barack Obama to a two-term presidency.

McCain did that all on his own. He blew it when the financial crisis hit and he looked indecisive and weak. Not to mention Bush fatigue.

The prime directive for the Tea Party is tax breaks for the rich and tax breaks for themselves — hardly a winning position in a nation that wants more equity and fairness for all.

Actually the tea parties (plural) hates tax and spend. Spending is as important, if not more important than taxes.

The only Republican who runs within reach of Clinton is New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R), who is anathema to the right and was not even invited to the latest national meeting of conservatives.

Let's get through the 2014 mid terms before we start determining who is a contender.

My choice wasn't listed BTW. It's Mike Pence.

Care to explain how it is that plenty of the people who walked those roads refused to vote for the Gay supporting/Gun grabbing abortion funding Romney?

You know...before you use any more ‘feelings’ in your rah rah rah Romney support?

Didn't stick around to see that, but it's no surprise. I still see them throwing hissy fits on the board all the time.

After telling us for months and months that they were holding their noses to vote for Romney, they're suddenly taking the tack that conservatives who couldn't bring themselves to vote for a stealth liberal are responsible for us not having a different liberal in the White House.

See, it's hard to prove a negative. He wasn't elected, so he didn't get the chance to prove to them what an Obama clone he is - therefore, "he would'a been the second coming of Reagan!" See how that works? LOL

Well if they ever get around to explaining how Axelrod made Romney govern as he did and do all those ‘severely conservative’ things like give his personal cash to support people JUST like Gonsel (AKA Planned Parenthood), that’d be a start ;)

Our friend didn’t like that being pointed out either. But factually it isn’t arguable.

Your response to why the Conservatives lost:

MOST EXCELLENT! About time somebody called attention to it.
