New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is swatting down criticism from GOP ranks that he isnt conservative enough, saying in an interview airing Friday that hes a damn good Republican.
Is it a fair question to ask that if you ran as a Republican for president of the United States, what Republican Party do you see that would support your candidacy out there right now? How would you survive a primary process on the current set-up of the Republican Party? NBCs Brian Williams asked Christie, who is considered to be mulling a 2016 run.
Listen, I think very well. Ill worry about the presidency if and when I ever decide to run for it. But if youre saying to me, How do I feel as a Republican? Im a damn good Republican and a good conservative Republican who believes in the things that I believe in, Christie answered....

I agree with Chris Christie.
Republicans are the enemy of freedom, just as democrats are.

So, as long as a “conservative Republican” believes in the same thing as Christy, then he’s conservative. Huh?
Who defines a conservative Republican? Christy who believes in same sex marriage?

Didn’t the Leftist Gov. Crist of FL also vow that he was a staunch “conservative”...right before he switched to the Democrat party? If you have to tell people you are conservative, you aren’t. Has Sen. Ted Cruz ever had to convince people that he is a conservative? I rest my case.

Not good, just typical. But... but... but conformity is good!

Ok, if you’re going to insult someone, at least get his name right: Christy should be Christie. (What do *I* know, I’m still working on spelling Eisenhower.)

He is good. His embracing of obama was over the top. However we need to find and protect someone very soon. He maybe one of them we need to protect from character assassination.

Do you know that he's a supporter of the Ground Zero mosque, pro-civil unions and "evolving" on same-sex marriage, donated to Planned Parenthood, says "homosexuality is not a sin, people are born that way," wanted to make New Jersey a "magnet" for renewable energy companies, said the Jersey Shore is for tourism, not offshore drilling, is pro-gun control, and more. In 2010, Christie told Politico that America needs to come up with a "clear path to citizenship." He didn't say "for illegal immigrants," but since America already has a clear path to citizenship for legal immigrants, that's what he meant. Chris Christie, after going back and forth on the issue a bit, said in August 2011 that "climate change is real" and "human activity plays a role in these changes." As for those scheming scientists, Christie said that "when you have over 90 percent of the worlds scientists who have studied this stating that climate change is occurring and that humans play a contributing role, its time to defer to the experts."
