Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents union president Chris Crane called on Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio to abandon the bipartisan Gang of Eight in the U.S. Senate pushing immigration reform on Friday in a statement obtained exclusively by Breitbart News.
Senator Rubio was asked during a recent interview that if you dont get enforcement first, or securing the borders first, is that a deal killer for you?, Crane said. And he replied Absolutely Because we will be right back here again. But the outline from the Gang of 8 offers legalization, or amnesty, before enforcement is accomplished. Senator Schumer admitted as much: weve come to a basic agreement, which is that first, people will be legalized Then, we will make sure the border is secure. I would then respectfully call on Senator Rubio to follow through on his commitment to the American people -- and his pledge to accomplish enforcement before legalization - and to leave the Gang of 8.
Rubio still has an opportunity to leave the group if he wants. The Washington Post reported earlier this month, Rubio can just say Democrats rushed it, or didnt allow enough amendments.
Reports continue surfacing about how Democrats in Congress are going to rush the bill, and more keep coming up about how members of the Gang of Eight are planning to band together to block amendments to their bill....

I hope FReepers aren’t in love with Rubio any more.
Hmmm. I wonder why.
Amnesty of any kind is intolerable. Don’t even believe the “compromise” I remember being pulled during the election, wherein it was promised that they would be “allowed” in the country receiving some kind of documentation, but not citizenship. Once you give the illegals any kind of legitimacy, it’ll be impossible to stop them from getting citizenship.
The last thing you want is a legion of people with no respect for American laws getting the right to vote. It’s basically one giant group of voters who will be more than vulnerable to socialist agitators. Once they’re in, we lose the country and the political war. We’ll have a new Obama in office every 4 years.
The GOP and “conservatives” who support any kind of amnesty are basically asking for the death of the country.
I’m a little lost. They want him to leave the gang of 8 because they agree or disagree with him?
Well I guess they want him to leave because they agree the border should be secured first. Why aren’t conservatives destroying the libs arguments about amnesty vs securing the border? Seems like a slam dunk based on the last time we tried amnesty with a promise to secure the border later.
Agree on border security being before amnesty, from what I’m reading.
Personally, I think this tool should resign from the senate, and I voted for him.
The only thing that you have showed me, Mr. Rubio, is that you are a menace to my country and my freedom, like almost every other republican.
I am done with you and them.
Amen!
I’d really like Rubio to be exposed for the lying little weasel that he is.
Did you read the article?
Isn’t this saying Rubio wants border enforcement first and this guy is saying Rubio should leave the group because the group wants legalization first? Either I misread this or Rubio wants enforcement of borders first as he should.
You are correct, but you have to read it twice to know
that Rubio is at odds with the Gang o 8. Typically ambivalent phrasing I am using to seeing by now in SO many news stories.
Just the part that you posted.
But he’s on video previously saying he’d never back amnesty, and that’s exactly what he’s orchestrating to try to get passed. More recently he said not unless the border is secured, and the bill he’s putting forth doesn’t even pretend to attempt to secure the border until after everyone’s legalized.
Deport Rubio
No one claiming to be conservative can any longer support LA Raza Rubio
100% agree. La Raza Rubio is a fraud.
Because he’s a proven liar if he goes along with the Gang, which he actually doubled down on doing today.
Rubio is just another lying politician, and is not an NBC to start with.
President??? Hardly.
It's the group of 8 bill, not his sole made bill.
It's impossible to send eleven million people back to Mexico mainly. That was never going to happen, can't be done. Close the border first, then have the ones here register, send the ones with a criminal record here back to Mexico. Give the others a green card to work and that's it.
Could and should have been done, but won’t.
And Rubio flat out lied—said he wouldn’t support amnesty or legalization before securing the border and he has indeed been leading the effort to get this ‘Gang of Eight’ amnesty through.
