On Fox News Sunday, Arizona Sen. John McCain said the GOP has work to do, including embracing a bigger tent to attract a bigger constituency.
I think we have to have a bigger tent. Thats no doubt about it, McCain said. And, obviously we have to do immigration reform. There is no doubt whatsoever that the demographics are not on our side. And, we are going to have to give a much more positive agenda. It cant be just being against the Democrats and against Harry Reid and against Obama. You got to be for things, and we have to give them something like the Contract with America that we gave them some years ago. Weve got to give them something to be for.
McCain also suggested that the Republican Party should strike a softer tone on social issues...

If McCain knew the answer, he’d be president and not Obama. His is not the answer.
The only thing under a big tent is a circus, and this Arizona assclown has got to go.
In complete agreement with you.
If winning elections requires that we dump social issues, then the Republican party will win them with no more help from me.
Sometimes, you put up a bigger tent, and all that happens is you get more clowns.
BTW, has anyone asked McCain if he STILL thinks it was okay to vote for Obama??
Even if we did all that, that won’t make people leave the democrats. They want the real thing. And that’s exactly how the libs would play it. “We’ve been here all along, who you gonna trust, the people who have always been liberal or those that came late to the party and are doing it for political reasons? We believe in our liberal worldview, they think it’s an election tactic.”
I mean this just writes itself. And do ya think for one minute the libtards wouldn’t just go harder to the left?
Nope John. Nope RINOtards.
Self-ping. Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.
Who in their right mind would listen to a twice loser?
No. We won’t win by becoming wronger.
McCain is near Godless himself, thus his ego easily outweighs any real usefulness he posesses as a Republican.
The very least he could have offered, if he wants to boot the issue, is to return it to the states where it belongs, and show himself instead in the fight to retain religious liberty.
Years of aimless wondering through congress and his own life has left McCain without a conscience and searching for a TV camera.
PS: Still haven’t watched tv news since the election. FIX News is dead to me.
Why don’t we just agree to pay for abortion on demand and then watch as all the Julias who voted for BHO will vote (R) next time. Right?
I’m not going out of my way to vote for abortionists just to get a tax cut.
I wish John McCain would just go away.
Since Election Day he has been on the TV every stinking day—holding forth on every subject as if he actually had core beliefs on them.
You would think we have just one Republican Senator, and he’s it.
Sometimes I wish he had done a little better job of crashing his plane. He is nothing but a Manchurian candidate who should have been thrown to the Dem side of the aisle years ago.
McCain can go perform unnatural acts on himself. the GOP is DEAD as long as fools like him rule the roost.
I’d suggest we not wait for the GOP, McLame, or any other politician to do something about abortion. We’re winning the battle to reduce abortions and the acceptance of killing unborn babies.
There are many things which can be done to teach young people the facts and get them to reject abortion.
I look at McCain and I wonder what the hell he is still doing there. He’s useless——retire already.
I don’t care about Fox either, Rita. Roger Ailes is into his diversity program, turning out black and Hispanic journalists who will no doubt be unbiased (cough), and inviting Jesse Jackson to speak at his diversity “graduation.”
FR and Mark Levin are all the news I need.
Yes! Another moderate is the ticket! Because Dole, Romney, and McCain himself were all winners. Bush/Christie 2016 FTW!
FUJM!!
