Pres Obama takes another break from debate prep to visit the Hoover Dam.

President Obama, trembling under the weight of those pesky constraints of governing, hasnt exactly expressed much interest in prepping for tomorrow nights presidential debate. In fact, just yesterday, he was whining about having to stay inside to do his debate homework. A drag, indeed. Evidently, the all work and no play got to be too much for the dull boy, and he took a field trip to the Hoover Dam.

Pres Obama said an aide told him they were only 15 minutes away from Hoover Dam "and I said well we've got to go check it out."

Pres Obama was surprised to learn that most of the power generated at Hoover Dam goes to southern California & not to Las Vegas.

Obama's questions on 1st visit to Hoover Dam: Where does the power go? How long did it take to build? How many people were killed building?

During his visit, President Obama made it pretty clear that he did not want to discuss the debate:

But when reporters started asking about his debate preps, Pres Obama ended the chat and turned away.

Leading some to express concern that his priorities arent where they should be:

I love the Hoover Dam, but what is Obama doing sightseeing the day before the debate?

Some people also remarked on the similarity between todays photo op and an MSNBC ad featuring Rachel Maddow at Hoover Dam:

Obama going to Hoover Dam today. Perhaps he's filming a commercial there for MSNBC.

"Obama, day bef crucial debate, takes break frm debate prep, for visit at Hoover Dam." Did he film a cheesy "Lean Forward" MessNBC ad there?

Obama went to the Hoover dam to remind people of the @maddow Hoover Dam ad's message earlier. Maybe?

It definitely does look familiar

Given the presidents reluctance to even acknowledge tomorrows debate, its entirely possible that hed rather be leaning forward than brushing up on his debating skills.
Good, I hope his hubris bites him on the butt
“You didn’t build that!”
I’ll bet he’s saying “Government built that!” As for the debate, why prep? He is the smartest man in the world! Haven’t you heard?!
I beat you. LOL
He didn’t have to study at Harvard either. This time, though, they gave him all the questions instead of all the answers.
he can do nothing but read bazooka joe comics during the whole debate, and the entire media complex will swoon to every word, and dub him the winner of all.
Without the teleprompter he is probably going to have a mini-receiver in his ear to get the answers or he already has the questions.
Oh bother. I hope they up security about 500% at Hoover.
Beware of the kid unprepared for the test pulling the school’s fire alarm. Could be false flag time to get out of the debate.
Appropriate. We’re Damned with him...
Ya, a bridge that was supposed to be done by 06! It didnt get done till just about a year ago.
“...hed rather be leaning forward...”
Oh! I didn’t know Reggie Love was gonna be there at the debate to push in his stool—or is Obama just going to be standing at a podium?
It likely will. Even if he’s a master crammer, he still needs the time to mentally organize the information so he can make use of it, as no debate is ever really predictable.
I half-think he wants to walk away so he can enjoy his pension and the rest of his life. His behavior is indicative of somebody who really isn’t looking forward to the near-future.
what if we held an election where both major candidates didn’t want that job?
I think we are doing just that.
He may be skipping debate prep, but he’s got the devil on his side. That counts for something.
O:Aaaa, where's the dam water?
Press:Mr President, it's on the other side of the dam
O:I KNEW that. Just seein' if you did,
Trouble for Obambi is that Economics (trivia quiz) has 400 questions....
....amd a thousand answers.
