It's a Presidential love triangle gone awry. While Obama has openly dumped one of our most important ally's in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for an appearance with the ladies of The View, he has also been showering Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with gifts - such as free parking for his Boeing 747 in Washington.
The plane, named "Iran Air", exchanged fleeting glances with the President's plane.
Via the Washington Post:
Free parking is hard to find in Washington but not, apparently, for the Boeing 747 that ferried Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to this weeks United Nations General Assembly gathering in New York.
That plane, emblazoned with the Iran Air logo, was parked Wednesday at Joint Base Andrews the same air field where Air Force One is stored. In fact, President Obama taxied past the Iranian jet on his way to two campaign events in Ohio.

While we’re being elitist snobs here, there’s another thing that torques me down tight! And that’s when people attempt to illustrate a dissimilarity between one object vs. another by saying it’s “different THAN.”
Nothing or noone can be DIFFERENT THAN something or someone else!
It or they can be BIGGER than, SMARTER than, PRETTIER than or RICHER THAN. But they cannot be DIFFERENT THAN! They can only be different FROM something or someone else.
So there! Sniff!
So there! Sniff!
Whew! And I thought I was picky .. LOL
Salute!
Geeez! Didn’t you recognize my attempt to make the grammatical point, but to keep it light while I did it?
It’s right there in the first six words of my reply: “While we’re being elitist snobs here....”
The bottom line, however: I know my point was valid.
I caught that. Did you miss the light hearted sarcasm in my reply?
>>>”I bet if Ahmadinejad ran for President here the leftists would vote for him..”<<<
Well, take Madonna as an example. In her own recent words:
“”So y’all better vote for... Obama, okay?” she added, before saying: “For better or for worse, all right, we have a black Muslim in the White House. Now that is... some amazing s(expletive).
“It means there is hope in this country.””
Sorry. It struck me as a criticism.
Why not just post the whole thing here?
Isn’t he about 6’2”? I think that counts as tall.
No problem. I try not to be too subtle with humor, but it doesn't always come across with plain text. I enjoyed your comment, and took it in the spirit in which it was intended :-)
His bio says 6’1”... I checked before I posted it.
I’m 6’2”, and I don’t consider either to be tall enough to be particularly described as tall in modern America.... Just not short.
Maybe it is just a matter of perspective though. If I was some runty little third-worlder, I might consider it to be gigantic.
Third worlder? Just walk around NYC—you’ll feel like a giant!
Heh. I thought New York, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles WERE third world countries.
I’ll concede the point to you, if you promise to never force me to go to any of those places, even if I am a giant.
;-)
Yes—it’s a land of many short immigrants!
Actually great fun, but no, there’s no need for you to go there.
“Some people criticize different than as incorrect but theres no real justification for this view. Theres little difference in sense between the three expressions, and all of them are used by respected writers.”
