Democratic enthusiasm has surged both in swing states and nationally, according to a new Gallup poll, topping Republican enthusiasm and, in the process, wiping out what was thought to be a major advantage for Republicans and presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
Democrats have seen a rise in enthusiasm since July. In 12 swing states, Gallup found that 73 percent of Democrats now say they are "extremely" or "very" enthusiastic about voting for president in the upcoming election. Previously, that percentage had lagged behind at just 53 percent in June.

Business Insider might be the most politically clueless website in the US today...and that’s not an easy distinction to earn. :)
Funny cbs showed the opposite among likely voters barry the weasel cant run from his record
Republics don’t trust pollsters (for good reason) and are not responding or flat-out lying about their intent.
This season, polls are worthless...even Ras

One of the chief reasons the media is so mistaken in their zeal to proclaim Obama the election winner is that most of the polls they’re basing their predictions on are wildly inflating Democrat turnout. The overwhelming majority of media polls are an assuming an electorate that is at least as Democrat as the one in 2008, with many polls assuming a higher Democrat turnout. This is just daft. The latest CBS poll of 3 swing states is the most recent to show that GOP has a huge turnout advantage over Democrats.
Yesterday, CBS/NYT released its latest Quinnipiac poll of Colorado, Virginia and Wisconsin. With the exception of CO, the polls had heavy Democrat skews, so the head-to-head match-ups aren’t particularly informative. What was telling though was the differences in enthusiasm between the two parties.
In all three states, a majority of Republicans say they are more enthusiastic about voting this year, compared to about a third of Democrats who are. In Colorado and Virginia, GOP voters are more enthusiastic than Democrats by a 15 point margin. In Wisconsin, GOP enthusiasm outpaces Democrats by 16 points.
Particularly interesting is that GOP voters have become more enthusiastic about voting in the past month. GOP enthusiasm has increased 9 points in CO, 10 points in WI and 12 points in VA. Democrat enthusiasm, meanwhile has increased only modestly; 5 points in VA, 4 in WI and 10 in CO (from a very low 28% of Democrats who were more enthusiastic about voting).
If these trends continue, today’s head-to-head numbers will be wildly off base, as the electorate this November will be very different than the one that voted in 2008.
Keep in mind, GOP voters in these swing states have become more enthusiastic about voting in the midst of a weeks-long assault on Romney by the Democrat-media industrial complex. Since the beginning of the Democrat convention, the media have reported that Obama was surging, Romney was flailing, and the election was all but over. And yet, GOP voting enthusiasm increased.
The media reports of the death of the Romney campaign are not just exaggerated, they are flights of fantasy made up from whole cloth. GOP voters are clearly ready to rumble this
Yep. 3 times this week.
Gallup’s been on a roll lately. That call from Axelrod must have scared the shiite out of them.
Gallup just wants to explain why Dems need to be oversampled.
Ooooh noooo, I'm so depressed and dispirited now. Guess I'll just stay home on Election Day and cry into my latte. Man, you idiots are so transparent...
Axleshaft is smiling this morning.
This was taken right after the RAT convention. It is gone just like Zero’s supposed 150 point convention bounce.
ALL Public Polls from now to election including exit polls WILL claim its a very tight race or Obama is leading. Reality is Obama had to cut back his coronation venue from 77 thousand to 20 thousand of which the 3 No Vote video showed to be not even half full. He also is way down on number of donors having to beg people to send him their wedding gifts, etc. Stop paying attention to Public Polls, they lie for money.
An almost exact re-reun of the McLame candidacy. A Presidential candidate that elicits no trust or excitement from conservatives, a vice-president candidate that most conservatives would prefer over the president candidate.
Conservatives (me included) will go to the polls in November, hold our noses, and vote for Mittens. Will I go out and work my a$$ off for the guy? Not hardly. Will many of the most hard core conservatives decide not to even bother to vote at all? Probably. Will all of the liberal idiots and all of the cancers that slop at the public troth vote for Zero? Absolutely. Will the brainless sheeple vote for whoever the lamestream media tells them to? Check.
Without the second coming of Reagan (which I sure can't find on the horizon) GWB may the last thing ‘resembling’ a conservative in the White House in my lifetime.
"This months chocolate ration has been raised to 12 grams from the previous months level of 16 grams. doubleplusgood!"
Clearly in a poll of [enthusiastic Democrats] +15 over unenthusiastic Democrats.
Comrade Barry is invincible.......
no ,the Dem propaganda machine is at full speed
“Democratic enthusiasm has surged both in swing states and nationally, according to a new Gallup poll,”
This is absolute BS! As we have talked about in several threads, I have noticed a tremendous reduction in the number of Obama bumper stickers and signs as opposed to 2008. In 2008 they were everywhere. I see a huge dropoff in enthusiasm for Bozo, even in these heavy Rat states around here. Last weekend I drove from NYC to Boston, and back, and saw a grand total of 4 bumper stickers. Two of which were for R&R. As we know, conservatives are very leery to put stickers on their cars for fear that the Rat mutants will key them. (I am using a magnetic bumper sticker when I am on the highway and take it off before I get home!) However, Rats usually love putting crap on their cars, but this time around (47 days left) they just are not! I think it is a very good sign for R&R!
I can’t imagine what the Democrats have to get “fired up”, over? My observation is that they seem demoralized to some extent.
I just bought 1,000 shares of amalgamated enthusiasm and I'm led to believe it'll grow at least 3% in the next 40 days.
My wife just left for the weekly shopping trip and right under milk, bread and eggs I penciled in 2 16oz. jars of buttered enthusiasm.
Not the bland kind, but the Asian stuff (it's purer .. and besides .. my wife's Asian)
You ain't lived 'til you've got your feet propped up in front of the computer, watching HULU episodes, back to back from season 1 to season 9 of the X Files, munchin' on some cool, crisp buttered enthusiasm.
