Believe this poll, ignore what happened to the Obama supporters in Wisconsin....
Yep. With all due respect to your Lone Star state, we will have moved 100% from Marshall Dillon under Ike to Martial Law under the 0.
Second, you reply to so-real: We both know thats not going to happen. Were stuck with [Romney].
I sadly agree that unless we have a miracle, we will be looking at O v R in the presidential. That means that unless a miracle happens, regardless of how we vote a liberal will take the White House and be an enemy of conservatives in Congress.
Well be lucky if he picks a Dan Quayle type for VP, but I doubt if theyll be even that conservative. Therell be no Sarah Palin this time, I guarantee you. He is who he is. But that is 10X better than the Marxist we have now. Or do you disagree?
I agree that at this point in time, anyone looks 10X better than the Marxist we have now.
But one year into a Romney administration, when Obama was long forgotten and Romney was quietly, firmly snubbing conservatives at every turn as he advanced the global warming agenda, a "new" health care plan that looked very much like the old one, the homosexual agenda, and nominating liberal judges much like the ones he nominated in Massachusetts, a lot of rudely surprised conservatives would be kicking themselves and feeling a sick despair in the pits of their stomachs 10X worse than what they feel for Obama today.
Multiply that 10X if Romney wins by a landslide because while at this point in time WE all know such a landslide would be a referendum against Obama, one year into a Romney presidency that referendum would be perverted into a popular mandate for Romney's brand of progressivism. COUNT ON IT.
There is no such thing as voting "against" -- a vote is ONLY for something. A vote for Romney is a vote FOR advancing liberalism on the back of the Republican party, no matter how much those who voted for Romney intended it to be against Obama.
I will be voting FOR third party in the presidential race as a way to vote FOR splitting the vote so that whoever wins, enters office on such a weak plurality that he is defensive and vulnerable to enemies both within his own party and in the opposition party. I will vote FOR making the next government-advancing liberal president as weak and embattled as possible, so that conservatives have a better chance in their fight against him. Because our conservatives will find an enemy in the president regardless of which guy wins.
Many who vote for Romney will tell themsevles they're voting "against" Obama, but the reality is that they will be voting FOR the advance of liberalism, regardless of what they mean to vote "against."
I am right there with you, Bro. FReeper.
As Obama pushes hard left, the history books will record that he was slapped down for it, and hopefully impeached or arrested. As Romney pushes left, even if not hard, the history books will record that Republicans were the pro-abortion party, the pro-homosexual party, the pro-illegal-immigration party, the pro-stimulus-economy party, etc, etc, etc. That's a strategic mistake.
Your call is SPOT ON.
LOL, so true but somehow it is also synonomous with fascist pig.
“Outlier”
Agreed.
Reagan and Carter were “too close to call” THAT DAY.
Obama is a left fanatic with a scary agenda. Romney is a politician who has shown that he is willing to change his positions, and it will be up to us to put on the pressure if he is elected.
That's insane. If 'bam get a second term, he'll get really nasty. He'll gut the constitution, seize property, extort, appoint at least two leftist Supreme Court Justices (anybody want to bet on Eric Holder?), prosecute servicemen and citizens who defend themselves, open the borders... Do I need go on?
Slapped down? What's happened over the last two weeks, and what have we seen in the media? Impeached? Congress will have it's hands full trying to keep itself out of prison. History? We won't have any history for him to go down in.
Take a look at Venezuela. That is what we'll be if 'bam stays.

Wrong. He'll try to do those things. Whether or not he succeeds is another thing altogether. If he faces a Congress newly replenished with conservative Republicans and an American public where nearly two in three voted against him, he will reveal himself to be the phony Oz he is.
Your lack of faith in the American system of government is something else. If Obama was that powerful, he'd have done all those things you say long before this. The truth is that Obama is a scarecrow doing excellent work at frightening birds into staying out of the field.
That's true. Though it is the greatest system ever devised, but it's not fool-proof. A thing of such value--like a rare jewel-- needs to be guarded, it's processor must be constantly vigilant. We as a people have failed to do this, and teach our children to do the same.
A nation loses it's liberty when it ceases to deserve it.
"If Obama was that powerful, he'd have done all those things you say long before this.
'bam has moved carefully and gradually to lay the groundwork. His long range plan, it seems, assumed 2 terms. If he wins again, he'll have the flexibility he spoke of recently and none of the constraints his reelection has placed on him.

Not only did I post twice, I scrambled my point with a stupid typo: “processor” should be “possessor.”
Bloomberg just had a another odd poll that showed a nearly 50/50 split in voters who support Obama’s unilaterial amnesty. I don’t beleive that one either.
I’m not a Romney “supporter” I’m an ABO voter. I worked for Presidents Reagan and Carter, have met Presidents Ford and Bush 41 and worked on the campaigns of Al Haig and Steve Forbes. I raised about $40,000 for Fred Thompson and thousands for the Iowa Polk County GOP.
Really?
Yes really. He can dispense with all the pretensions he’s tried to maintain of being a moderate and a consensus-seeker. As Chris Rock put it recently, he can get on with his “gangsta shit.”
