I say Rick Perry is an opportunistic liberal with an “R” next to his name.

There’s a whole lot of people who don’t intimately and expertly know how Texas operates

All one has to remember is that Denmocrat Lyndon Johnson was a senator from Texas ... dubbed "Lucky Lyndon" when a recount of ballots was ordered in his senatorial election ... a recount that didn't happen because the warehouse containing ballots somehow burned to the ground..

Rick was way ahead of Kay for the duration of the primary. She is not well liked due to her liberal leanings. Her reason for running was that she wanted to spend more time with her grandchildren. Not a compelling argument.

And Bill White (Dem)never got close.

I say I’d rather have a “truther”, which she didn’t say, by the way, because a “truther” can’t do anything about 911 anyway.

I also say Craig James quit ESPN to run for the senate rather than get fired. When WSU hired Mike Leach and the PAC 12 has an ESPN deal, James was screwed. hee hee

I know a demolition guy who torn down the building that housed “Box 13”. He gave one of the bricks to a democrat judge and he said you’d have thought he gave him a million bucks.

I have the same opinion of him.. haven’t budged since he was exposed more than a year ago... and the Perrywinkles attacking any and all other candidates, didn’t help (still hypocrites to this day) ... (some are still throwing insults).

He would Def. be better than the choice we have now though :/

Perry being Perry. Nothing more nor nothing less. He’ll take advantage when it’s to his benefit and discard when it’s not.

What say I?

ALREADY POSTED AND DEBUNKED.

Here are the operative words Perry spoke from the article:

“There’s a whole lot of people who don’t intimately and expertly know how Texas operates that have come in and endorsed in this race, and with all due respect – I respect each one of those individuals, but they don’t know anything about how Texas works,” said Perry ... “And if they did, they would be endorsing David Dewhurst.”

All true, and if you read what Governor Perry actually says, he respects each one of those individuals who are mistakenly endorsing Cruz, and he is correctly pointing out that these tea-party individuals would be endorsing the true conservative in the race, Lt. Governor David Dewhurst, if they were familiar with the facts and Lt. Gov. Dewhurst.

So every major Tea Party politician is wrong and Gov. Perry is right? You’ll have a hard time selling that here.

dubbed “Lucky Lyndon”

Perhaps you mean “Landslide Lyndon” as he was dubbed after Johnson’s 87 vote victory in the Alice Box 13 with the help of George Parr the Duke of Duval.

Sadly I must agree. At least he can play a passable conservative if you don't look too close.

Rick Perry never needed Palin’s help to win the Gov’s race against RINO Kay.
Boy, it seems that today about half the Articles on FR are total BS. What gives?

Have we been invaded by some kind of a disinformation campaign?

It's simple:

Dewhurst is endorsed by long-time corruptocrats such as Rick Perry and Huckabee.

Cruz is endorsed by the honorable Sarah Palin.

La Raza Rick jumped into the GOP primary August 13, 2011 knowing he was woefully inarticulate, unprincipled, and incapable of functioning outside the animal breeding pens of Texas. He went down like a dead-cat bounce off a tall building after his first public exposure.

If, as many suspect, he entered the race simply to spite Palin and prevent her from running, he deserves every ounce of national ridicule he gets for all eternity.

Good Texans could redeem themselves and their state by rejecting Rick Perry and all his fellow corruptocrats, forevermore.

It would appear that they were familiar enough to make him Lt. Gov in the first instance... what isn't clear to me is, what has changed in the interim that they no longer believe that?

I say...did he really think nobody would remember?

The more this guy opens his mouth, the more I wonder why he thought he belonged in a presidential race.

You are correct or that is what the polls were showing as the primary approached. Perry was leading by double digit's.

“There’s a whole lot of people who don’t intimately and expertly know how Texas operates that have come in and endorsed in this race, and with all due respect – I respect each one of those individuals, but they don’t know anything about how Texas works,” said Perry after a hurricane preparedness tour at the Austin airport. “And if they did, they would be endorsing David Dewhurst.”

Well at least Perry and Dewhurst are expert "operators".
