On the tail of Game Changes premiere on HBO, former McCain/Palin adviser Nicolle Wallace, prominently featured in the film, visited Rachel Maddow tonight to expand upon the lessons of the 2008 campaign, and made clear that she felt fairly guilty about working to make someone fundamentally unprepared and unsuited for the job the Vice President of the United States.
Wallace noted that she was still in shock as to how close we came to having somebody a heartbeat away from the presidency so fundamentally unprepared and unsuited for the job, adding that, while she thought tossing around the term PTSD lightly was disrespectful, for a staffer, it was the most traumatic experience to realize that they were working on behalf of somebody who its an open question whether she is fit to serve, I certainly dont think she was.
Maddow noted that the film itself seemed to be changing the Washington narrative about Palin to be that the choice of Palin was a disaster I dont think that was the consensus before, which led Wallace to address the criticism of her and other staffers as turncoats for divulging the secrets of the campaign. When loyalty and honesty collide, she argued, she sided with honesty, particular given how fundamentally off-base it was to pick someone who we knew nothing about.
Ultimately, Wallace argued, the impact Palin had on campaigns would be felt in both parties for a long time: both parties will forever avoid a Palin choice she changed the equation forever. She added she could see the conversations impacted by her for any possible appointments, since there are very few opportunities in politics to reshuffle the deck, but few have ended in such failure.

WHY (IS HILLARY) ARE LEFTISTS WORRIED ABOUT SOMEONE WHO IS NOT RUNNING? LOLOLOLOL!
Mark Levin sums up Nicolle Wallace and Steve Schmidt perfectly:

McCain was pro-Obama during the 2008 campaign. And now McCain’s ideological soulmate, Mitt Romney, is close to being anointed as the next Republican nominee. The “two-party” system is a sham.
and she is doing that now.
Some FReeper suggested on a thread a couple of weeks ago McCain wanted a big war chest for his Senate campaign. That he did get.
Yep.
yes they better avoid having a true populist, a person that lives her values, and speaks her mind, and stands up for the little people...yes, we certainly can’t have that kind of character running around....NOT!
Having stalled on her way to the top, there is no one else left to sleep with to advance her career so she sows dissent and attempts to ruin anyone above her.
We have all seen and dealt with this type of corporate / political animal she will crash and she will crash hard as soon as the left uses her up.
Seems like the type of political advisor McShame would have!...a regular “reach across the aisle” kind of gal.
Communist ghouls...
This wallace freak is a total loser who embarasses the human race by existing.
I would have guessed she had someone else in mind from her description.
“If Palin had run, shed have the nomination locked up by now.”
Or murdered, or otherwise neutralized. This is the death of a great nation. The destructive agents in both dominant parties will stop at nothing in their efforts to suffocate the last vestiges of freedom in American society.
That’s why Wallace and Schmidt sabotaged the election, to make room for Romney, that was their plan from the start, and since McCain obviously had NO desire to be President, he allowed them to do it. Palin had NO idea when she joined the ticket what kind of sham campaign she was joining..she thought she was getting involved in a campaign that wanted to win, not one that wanted to purposely lose
This is the death of a great nation.
***Then when do we head for the hills?
Matthew 24:18-22
18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until nowand never to be equaled again.
22 If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
I'm not voting Mitt in the primary election. He is NOT my choice. But, I disagree with you most strongly that having four more years of that feckless marxist would be better than Mitt Romney. I see a possible scenerio in which if Obozo is reelected, then 2012 will be the last Presidential Election in this country. I will vote for Mitt if he is selected as the candidate by the primary process. I will NOT permit Obozo to destroy this country, as I know that is his plan, simply because Mitt is NOT the perfect candidate (which doesn't exist, anyway). I suggest, if you intend to cast a ballot for Obozo if Mitt wins the Primary, that you should stay at home on election day in November. If not, then you are become the enemy. Flame away.
Did you read my post? Nicolle Wallace was not the VP candidate.
Don't worry, I would never vote for Obama. I was just feeling exasperated at the evil actions of the many GOP-e. I will not vote for Statists of either party.
What I will do on election is write in someone (likely Sarah) and vote down the ticket. I am still hopeful that Mitt will falter and lose the nomination.
Most Conservatives do not want Mitt. They realize he would do nothing to turn our Republic towards Liberty. I sincerely believe that the end game with either Mitt or Obama is a Socialist hell. Mitt only changes the time frame.
