His delegate lead growing, Mitt Romney gently nudged his Republican opponents toward the sidelines on Wednesday and said he was on track to wrap up the presidential nomination before the party convention next summer. Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich paid him no mind, vowing to fight on in a campaign marked by persistent ideological divisions.
If anything, the political maneuvering intensified as the marathon pointed toward contests in five states over the next week. Romney's campaign purchased television advertising time in Alabama according to campaign sources, as it pursued a breakthrough in the party's Southern base....

No Romney, no way! If Newt doesn't get it, I'm writing in Sarah Palin.
A poll released in Alabama shows Romney leading, Santorum in second, and Newt third. I do not believe it, but perhaps his campaign does.
They must be polling Alhambra..not Alabama
Alabama Education Society released today:
R 31.2 S 21.6 G 21 P 6.5
Alabama State University (March 1):
S 22.7 R 18.7 G 13.8
Those are the latest; for what they are worth.
Was Romney’s father a US citizen or wasn’t he?
Why is this being ignored?
It’s one thing for the democrats to undermine the constitution with Obama...
Why are the republicans doing the same???

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"Im told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palins people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romneys former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.
"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off .hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."
