Mitt Romney on Wednesday defended his conservative bona fides following doubts expressed by Sarah Palin.
The former Alaskan governor and vice presidential candidate told Fox News Sunday that she is "not convinced" by Romney's conservative instincts, indicating he may not be conservative "enough" for her. "And I don't think that the majority of GOP and Independent voters are convinced, and that is why you don't see Romney get over that hump," she said.

"I'm not quite sure what she'd be referring to," Romney responded Wednesday, also on Fox News. "I'm pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, I believe in the second amendment. As governor, I balanced the budget. Every year in office. Put in place a $2 million rainy-day fund. Cut taxes 19 times."

Palin clarified later in Wednesday's show that it's difficult to objectively evaluate a candidate's "conservative quotient." She said she believes she represents the majority of conservatives, though, in questioning whether Romney's first instinct would be the conservative one.....

Romney isn’t “pro-life, pro-traditional marriage” nor does he believe in the second amendment. As for when he was governor, I don’t know if he balanced the budget and frankly do not care. He governed Massachusetts as though he was a liberal Democrat.
That is why he can not get over “the hump”.
He also said he needed to spend some time with her but she was hard to find...when she was right there in the building with him at the exact same time.
sure he believes in the second amendment, that’s why he permanently outlawed assault rifles in massachusetts. Who does this sob think he’s kidding? His lying knows no limits.
I am tired of these narcissistic cock blockers. Either you are conservative or you get out of the way and let the higher standards kick liberal arses. This guy has no clue. It is about a war waged on us, not about some mumbo jumbo.
Odd comment considering he was at the height of his business career in the 80's when he said he disavowed the Reagan/Bush years. He said he was an Independent, whatever that means.
Like Warren Buffet, Jeffrey Immelt, Michael Eisner, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Michael Bloomberg, Jon Corzine and George Soros?
“Like Warren Buffet, Jeffrey Immelt, Michael Eisner, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Michael Bloomberg, Jon Corzine and George Soros?”
and they aren’t even fiscal conservatives, let alone conservative on other issues.
Romney is a coward.
He will try all kinds of cheap excuses to avoid a real woman, the typical polygamist mindset for all kinds of nonsense that avoids women who are in the know. He is another type I know to be spoiled and who disgusts me.
I am sick of these little rapists.
Conservative enough? I seem to remember that Holocaust deniers call the massacre of the Jews a detail of WWII. So, Romney fits the liberal line of “conservative enough”, or, socialist and anticommunist enough.
It’s about organization, and if communists are full of crap, at least they have understood that an ideological base, real or make believe, is absolutely important in order to control things. These people do not have a clue about what is waiting for us and them if we let them get the keys to the car.
It’s like letting a drunk under the influence bully and influence us to let them drive the car. They simply are not mentaly fit and cannot control themselves.
I remember Union bosses calling their line a line of business. Heck, a fraud running a junk stock trading floor in Wall Street is a liberal voter. These people are not real investors in the sense of fructifying the land, they are out there to make a quick buck for themselves and run, and they make decent private owners look bad, while the government/voters get impressed/intimidated by the amount of cash.
It’s not about Sarah Palin. Romney can imagine that he’s conservative enough for Palin but if voters don’t buy it, he’s just not going to win.
Romney cannot be what he knows nothing about. To Romney, a “conservative” is some kind of strange sandwich. Mittens is a pompous, arrogant, Rockefeller Republican snob from Massachusetts.
Daddy’s Boy Willard see us as being off script...his script. We are just supposed to fall in line.
Desparation is setting in. If he loses Michigan, it will be a scorched earth policy.
Damn! That woman probably looks hot in a potato sack.
Smoking!
. . . and he has already lit the match via his PAC.
We will get to see if the voters of Michigan have learned anything from the contemptuous campaign Willard waged in Florida and Iowa.
Romney wants?? hee hee hee
