Shuckabee works for Faux-in-the-tank-for-Romney, or ABNG.

Never a kind word for Newt Gingrich, because he’s the only one who will upset their cozy Beltway-New York news world, along with Washington, D.C.

GO NEWT!

GOD BE WITH NEWT GINGRICH!

How does Romney manage to bury his past political sins?

It's amazing. Romney has a long, well-documented public record of anti-conservative positions and acts, but somehow he has managed to avoid being connected to any of it.

Actually, I noticed from the very start that he portrayed himself as a "businessman" and he and his supporters always babble about how he's not a politician - completely forgetting that part about being Governor of Massachusetts. Last time I looked, that was a political position.

It was also a job he did very poorly, and he left Massachusetts more divided and even worse off than he found it, even economically. He was solidly big government, solidly socially liberal, solidly big spending, sometimes to the point where even liberals couldn't support him. But somehow he's never held accountable for this and in fact it isn't even mentioned.

“My message was: ‘You took an oath, and you don’t have to agree or disagree with the law, you took an oath to uphold the law. Your only job is to follow the law,’” Winslow told Pete Winn of CNSNews.com in January. “We’ll leave it to the courts to litigate what the law is, but once the courts have ruled, if you’ve taken an oath under the constitution, you have to follow your oath.”

I wonder if this guy was a Mormon too, like Romney...

In the Mormon temple rituals, first time visiting Mormons have to swear an oath to “uphold” everything in Mormonism, eventhough they have not yet been told just what it is they are agreeing to...

And now heres an attorney acting on Romney’s behalf, saying when you swore to uphold the law you already agreed with, you also swore to uphold future enacted laws that you might not agree with but you still had to uphold and be silent..

From the Congressional Record:

Senator McCain on the GAO Report
On Sept. 19, 2000, Sen. McCain, speaking in opposition to the Conference Report on the 2001 Legislative Branch Appropriations bill advised the Senate of details from the GAO’s report. As recorded in the Congressional Record, Sen. McCain stated,

“The GAO now determines that $1.3 billion—and some of those I will read: $974,000 for the Utah State Olympic Public Safety Command; $5 million for the Utah Communications Agency Network; $3 million to Olympic Regional Development Authority, upgrades at Mt. Van Hoevenberg Sports Complex; $2.5 million, Salt Lake City Olympics bus facilities; $2.5 million, Salt Lake City Olympics regional park-and-ride lots; $500,000, Salt Lake City Olympics transit bus loan, and on and on; $925,000 to allow the Utah State Olympic Public Safety Command to continue to develop and support a public safety program for the 2002 Winter Olympics; $1 million for the 2002 Winter Olympics security training; $2.2 million for the Charleston Water Conservancy District, UT, to meet sewer infrastructure needs associated with the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. What the Olympic games supposedly hosted and funded by Salt Lake City, which began in corruption and bribery, has now turned into is an incredible pork-barrel project for Salt Lake City and its environs.” — Sen. John McCain in the United States Senate, Sept. 19, 2000 - [Page S8731-S8748 - Congressional Record.]
