Rick Perry is just pumping out the ads and this one is excellent. In fact, Id love to know what the music reminds you of, if anything, around the point where they focus on the handshake:

Listen, we just got to get back to the basic truths of economic success. As Governor, Ive had to deal with the consequences of this national recession. In 2003, and again this year, my state faced billions of dollars in budget shortfalls. But we worked hard, we made tough decisions, we balanced our budget. Not by raising taxes, but by setting priorities and cutting government spending . . . we have led Texas based on some just really pretty simple guiding principles. One is dont spend all of the money. Two is keeping the taxes low and under control. Three is you have your regulatory climate fair and predictable. Four is reform the legal system so frivolous lawsuits dont paralyze employers that are trying to create jobs . . .
Ive cut taxes. I have delivered historic property tax reductions. I was the first governor since World War II to cut general revenue spending in our state budget. We passed lawsuit reform, including just this last session a loser pays law to stop the frivolous lawsuits that were happening . . . We need balanced budgets. We need lower taxes. We need less regulation. And we need civil justice reform those same four principles. Our countrys most urgent need is to revitalize our economy, stop the generational theft that is going on with this record debt.

Good luck, Gov. Perry. (Although I will say, I hope you come to the light on some illegal-immigration issues.) Here’s hoping for a bump up in Iowa, NH and SC. You’ll need one.
Perry has to refine his message on the insider Congress a bit more, but he is on the right tack.
Lets get America working again, and lets get the insider congress kicked to the curb.
We are 312 million Americans, they are 435.
It’s time we applied the pressure.
Good ad, Perry’s ads are the only uplifting ads that I have seen in this race.
Great ad.
Music reminds me of “Chariots of Fire.”
The part about the economy can’t be repeated enough. It helped Clinton win in ‘92. Why shouldn’t anyone listen to Perry when he says it?
Governor Perry is just hitting his stride. Let’s not forget 1980:

Is this just running in Iowa or is it running in other places?
I don't know, it may just be a web ad since it's a minute and a half long. I know a shorter version called "Win Iowa" is running on TV in Iowa now.
You are right, it probably is a web ad but it’s really uplifting and inspiring. He has some really good ad people!!! I would imagine one he gets to the general there will be a LOT of money spent on national ads.
If Perry doesn’t hang in there to make it a contest by the time it gets to the Texas primary, I’m holding you two personally responsible. LOL!
Iowans! Bring your friends and neighbors to the caucuses to vote for Perry!
Very well said.
I think that the ad is great, and it just might give Rick a needed push. As far as the music, it reminds me of Elmer Bernstein, maybe Magnificent Seven soundtrack.
“We are 312 million Americans, they are 435.
Its time we applied the pressure.”
You’re right. We are the 312!
I wish Governor Perry all the luck possible during the upcoming primaries. In my estimation, he’s the very best. It’s time for the people to take some responsibility and use common sense. I really don’t give a hoot about Iowa or even New Hampshire. Governor Perry can get America working again. Good Lord. I just don’t see people pouring into the voting booths to vote for Newt and Callista Gingrich. It will be John and Cindy McCain all over again without the heroism and with more at stake.
IF you'd rather NOT be pinged FReepmail me.
IF you'd like to be added FReepmail me. Thanks.

“I wish Governor Perry all the luck possible during the upcoming primaries. In my estimation, hes the very best.”
I agree. It took me a while to settle on a candidate, but after careful consideration, I think Perry is the best overall package. He’s as much a social conservative as Santorum or Bachmann, and has a proven record as a fiscal conservative and job creator in TX. He’s also a vet that understands our exceptional place in the world, and will look to restore it. And a big bonus in my book-he LOVES Israel.
The immigration thing still bugs me a little bit, but when you look at the overall candidate, I don’t see anyone else that comes close. There has never been a more critical election in my life time, and we can’t afford to get this wrong. I am praying every day for the rise of Perry’s candidacy. He’s exactly what our country needs right now.
This is why I was all for Perry when he first entered the race and still support him, although I’m dissappointed by a lot of what he has done since he got in. He is the best fiscal conservative in the pack but seems to have downplayed that over the past several months. It amazes me that he wasn’t pounding on this theme week after week. The issue of our time is getting government under control. He has the best record on this issue.
