Dear Governor Palin,
In the long sweep of human events, beginning rightly with the ministry of Christ, men and women have been asking the eternal question: Lord, what do you want of me? From Saul on the road to Damascus, to Martin Luther, at the dawn of the Reformation, to Soldiers who carry their nation’s best hopes and dreams in defense of liberty, this question has been repeated.
In farm and factory, in churches across the globe and in the corridors of power as leaders have knelt in prayer, that question resonates. George Washington, Abraham Lincoln… these two of our nation’s shining stars were humble enough to ask for divine guidance and direction. Washington, his (our) Army in desperate shape, fell to his knees in the snows of Valley Forge and stated the case for a birth of freedom. God answered. Lincoln, on his way to his Inaugural travelled from Springfield, Ill. to Washington, D.C. and along the way, prayed in earnest that God would somehow usher in “a new birth of freedom.”
Again, He answered.
Neither of these two men were sunshine Patriots. They did, instead, answer their nation’s call to somehow keep the idea of American freedom and exceptionalism alive. In our time, Ronald Reagan understood and answered Freedom’s clarion call. He stepped into the darkness and kindled the fires of freedom for a nation in real peril. He understood, as do you that history summons leaders and beckons them to rise above citizen status to live the life of statesman in defense of liberty That is where we are today.
Governor Palin, the struggles of today hearken us back to an earlier time when the nation’s future was at stake. A time when men and women of enormous faith knelt in the snows in distant places and asked our God for the chance to carry on the work of our forefathers. These struggles hearken us back to a time when, as the patriot song says, Soldiers served our great nation, “ From the frozen fields of Valley Forge to the trail called Ho Chi Minh, to the mountain slopes of Afghanistan to the streets of America.”
Governor Palin, will you answer that clarion call? Will you rise up and lend your statecraft, vision, and love of country to serve us as this nation, so richly blessed by God enters yet another “time for testing and choosing"? We, all of us signers of this petition, not unlike our forefathers “mutually pledge to each other (and to you) our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor" and graciously ask that you proudly accept our nomination for President of the United States and know that, just like the Soldiers of Valley Forge, with you at the helm, America’s better days are ahead of her and that America will be as President Reagan so proudly declared in his farewell speech, “...I've spoken of the shining city… in my mind it was a tall proud city built on rocks stronger than oceans, wind-swept, God-blessed, and teeming with people of all kinds living in harmony and peace, a city with free ports that hummed with commerce and creativity, and if there had to be city walls, the walls had doors and the doors were open to anyone with the will and the heart to get here. “ This is the America we all envision and the one we know, with your leadership as our President, is both real and attainable.
Governor Palin, will you allow us to join you on this great crusade? Now is the time, today is the day, our future together is here.

Guess what? - America is already in fibrillation, and the only one that has the understanding needed to even begin to tackle saving it is Palin.
All of our candidates, even Cain, are deluded, and focused on some detail of the “small picture,” only Palin even knows that there is another “picture” at all.
Sounds like a good way to end up on someone’s email list.

We need Sarah. Badly. They would and will handicap her at every turn, the medias will carry the liberal progressive lies as truth, at her every word, deed action, and accuse her of many misdeeds
The exact opposite of Obama’s treatment that is oohed and awed daily, re: his every word. Anti American activity over and over, his bringing America to the brink of collapse,and a changed world. And he says he still has over 40% left to do. Imagine how awful the rest might be.
This is a monster of a terrible situation. We are experiencing.
Sincere Prayers of believers in the power and truth of Jehovah and his Son Jesus are needed to turn this ship of state back around and restored to a prosperous and free land and country, in Jesus name amen. Thank Thee LORD for hearing our prayers.
God can and does do anything he chooses.

I disagree.
Anytime some says that somebody is "the only one", I start to worry. America wasn't built by any one person, and it won't be saved by any one person. It just needs someone to get government out of the way. That's what a great President does. Washington did it, Coolidge did it, Reagan did it. Perry has done that in Texas, and Bachmann shows an inclination to do so as well. I think they also understand the problem.
I do think Palin would make a better president than any of them, but she ain't running.
I understand your bitterness at having been so cruelly jerked around by her.
Sarah Palin put herself out there and did everything but formally announce.
And not one iota of evidence showed the public is interested in having her as President. In only one poll was she within single digits of Obama in a head-to-head. Majorities said, in no uncertain terms, they didn’t want her to run.
The America Sarah Palin loves told her it doesn’t love her back.
And so she stepped back and walked away.
So let her go. This isn’t going to happen.
Never fall in love with a politician. They will break your heart every time.
I won’t pretend to be pleased by Palin’s public conduct, but your pointless derisive comments make Obama look positive.
If you want to be the traditional Republican Party nominee. There's more than one way to skin a cat you know.
Months went by and she did not announce. Other candidates
entered then later dropped out. She did not take part in any debates—but then again, why should she? She was not a candidate. As the deadlines approached she finally had to come out and say it: Not running.
Sarah fans won’t hear of it. No doubt they will soon have an Occupy Wasilla movement, setting up outside her house with
signs, playing bongos, chanting...She is The One. She will be crowned Madam President and will deliver her victory speech and we will all be mesmerized.

The crowds all try to grab hold of her: “NO! YOU MUST
RUN! IT IS IMPORTANT! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!”
Hope! Change! Sarah! (Why do I have this feeling of...
deja vu?)
Oh, and she quit her job as governor (and yes she had her reasons) but...quitters never win.
Maybe someday she will announce and maybe she could win,
who knows. For this year, though, forget it.
