Sarah Palin says although America should be very glad that Libyan despot Moammar Gadhafi is dead the United States needs to be wary of who will replace him. The former Alaska governor also told Fox News Sean Hannity Thursday she finds it ironic that those on the left who condemned President Ronald Reagan for his 1986 Libyan air strikes now are lauding President Barack Obama for his contributions to Gadhafis demise.
Certainly we need to be cognizant of the evolving situation and who will replace Gadhafi what government will replace that regime we are very glad that this tyrant is finally gone but . . . will the Islamists take over, will tribal warfare create more chaos and oppression than was even under Gadhafi, Palin said. So we have to be aware of the situation as it evolves.
It strikes me as quite ironic, Sean, that those on the left had been so dismissive of Ronald Reagan's 1986 air strikes against Gadhafi and calling it a criminal act and these are the same people now today celebrating Obama's participation in NATOs leadership with the air strikes that has led to the demise of Gadhafi, she said. The inconsistencies there with foreign policy support and actions our military, and our participation with NATO, and what the White House does the inconsistencies and the hypocrisy that comes from the left never ceases to amaze.
Turning to the race for the Republican presidential nomination, Hannity asked Palin what she thought of Herman Cains surge in the polls and whether his numbers will dissipate as they had for other early GOP hopefuls.
I do believe that Herman Cain can keep this momentum going....

Barry gets to carve another notch on his Nobel “Peace” Prize medallion.
I still have yet to understand what Obumbo had to do with
rubbing out Gadhafi.
What am I missing here?
I haven’t a clue. The state run “media” is claiming that this is a great victory for him. Hail Obama!
“... the inconsistencies and the hypocrisy that comes from the left never ceases to amaze.
Dittos — for the reasons she gave in the article. I would also add that it’s ironic that the left demands full rights to civilian trials for captured terrorists — yet cheers loudly when they’re killed with no hearing whatsoever. Inconsistencies and hypocrisy, indeed.
Remember, Quadaffi supported Obama during the election of 2008, he ended up dead and Obama is taking the credit.
It’s sort of similar to what’s happening on Wall Street. These liberal business people (useful idiots) also supported him in 2008 with their words and tons of cash. I wonder if he will take credit for their demise as well? He sure seems to be in favor of the OWS crowd.
The useful idiots are always the first to go.
Pass the popcorn, please.
GWBush could have learned from this instead his baseball bat approach with Iraq.
Bingo. Let's not go around premature celebrating like Hitlary. Remember those thousands of surface-to-air missiles that are now unaccounted for.
From the American interest point of view, Khaddafy had been behaving himself well for the last eight years or so.
From the Libyan point of view, he was an open-borders traitor to the Libyan people. His “oppressiveness” wasn’t that bad by Arab standards.
I don’t know if either the general run of Americans or the American elite will ever connect the dots...
Also ironic is that NATO is doing this. When Reagan bombed Libya, neither France nor Spain would the planes into their airspace, so they had to fly around them after they departed England, adding over 1000 miles to the trip and requiring in-flight refuelings. I don’t even want to think about the number of hours those pilots spent sitting at those controls.
“she finds it ironic that those on the left who condemned President Ronald Reagan for his 1986 Libyan air strikes now are lauding President Barack Obama for his contributions to Gadhafis demise. “
Agreed. I remember when it happened and the left went ballistic against President Reagan. But since Obama’s a Democrat, it’s OK. :?
The left wailed about how we gave Hussein a comfortable cell, a fair trial, a verdict was rendered and carried out, and the left was calling Bush a murderer.
Yet Obama can have Osama assassinated, which I have no problem with, and the left applauds him.
