Perry isn't going to be prey for the MSM. He's addressing the problems and the border and climate change are in the top tier.
Please advise me on why you removed my post.

****** Aug 13, 2009: Texas gov. compares Gaza to Mexico
"We went to the border with Gaza and received a briefing from the army there, and we went to Sderot and saw the police station with all the Kassam rockets piled up, we saw playgrounds that had to be covered from rocket fire. It's a powerful place." In that vein, the governor said he was also interested in learning more about security aspects while in the country, as Texas has a large, porous border with Mexico, and the recent violence in that country had unnerved many Texans."...

Dude or Dudette as the case may be, or Sweetheart, if you will, just how many times do we have to remind you to check Free Republic's list of copyright restricted sites prior to loading up your tomes with copyright restricted material?
Too many times we have explained to you via Freepmail and posts the whys, the wherefores and the shall nots of posting articles which could land Free Republic in hot water.
Yet you continue. Prior to this, I personally liked Rick Perry as a candidate, that is until I noticed Perry's most prolific Freeper supporter, that is, you, were skipping around Free Republic's copyright restrictions as if they were made for “the little people.” Fortunately there are a few other Perry supporters who do follow the rules. Yet it's gotten to the point where I think it's possible that you might be some kind of anti-Perry poster because you continue to ignore the rules and post whatever you want.
Prove me wrong, puhleeze. Follow the rules imposed upon all of us.
Thanks.
I have never received a Feepmail from a moderator. Not once.
I’ve always been polite to the moderators. And I work to make my threads interesting and informative. I do not hassle other candidate’s threads.
Why are you calling me “dude” “dudette” and “sweetheart?”
That isn’t FReeper manners — at least the ones I try to keep to.
Would you please put the link for restricted sites here?
Thank you.
And would you please give me the rules for the amount of text — I have repeatedly asked for this and have been ignored. I am under the impression that it is 300 words. Is this incorrect? Is it different for AP stories?
Thank you.
I usually exerpt only one or two relevant paragraphs when I post, to be on the safe side. As a writer myself, I respect copyright immensely and know just how much of a snake pit it can be when determining “Fair use.”
I do hope you keep posting - you always provide good info!
Thank you.
I’ve looked at that.
Isn’t there a sidebar somewhere on the homepage with posting information rules and restrictions? I can’t seem to locate it. Your link is to an April 2004 thread.
And do you know why I keep getting “bumped” off the forum and have to sign in again?
And do you know why “topics” are removed — for example why an AP story as this is, has “extended” or “front page” removed and things like “Mexico” substituted?
Thank you for any light you can shed.
Thank you.
***And do you know why topics are removed for example why an AP story as this is, has extended or front page removed and things like Mexico substituted?***
Correction — Reuters (but AP or Reuters info would be helpful)
Thank you.
Topics are a little like keywords for searching, or twitter hashtags. I usually mess up or miss out on a couple of obvious topics for my posts - still learning all the regular topics - and they get added.
Mexico makes sense, as this post is now indexed under Mexico as well, so it is easy to search for.
Why have all the topics been removed?
Thank you for your help.
Depending on the source I just use a paragraph or so. If its a short article then a sentence may be more appropriate. I find the whole thing silly. I can buy a whole newspaper, with full articles and leave it at a restaurant for some other customer without cutting away 3/4 of each article. How is that any different than posting an article, that includes a link, to the originating site and author? And why don’t they go after people that send articles in email?? You’d think they would be glad that someone is reading their material and encouraging others to do so. Why it may even help drum up business for hard copies.
My pleasure!
Love your posts and your enthusiasm - any chance of you coming here next election!
I understand.
Thank you.
