In his only election victory he got 49% of the vote.
He didnt run for relection, even though he was still legally eligable. Why not? Because he would have lostbadly. After four years as governor, he was polling under 30%.
In the 2008 GOP primaries Mitt Romney only pulled in 22% of the vote. This cycle, despite having huge monetary and organizational advantages, Romney still cant break out of the 20% range.
What about Romneys policial record says electable, safe choice, guranteed winner?
Romney spent 40-million of his own money last time and couldn’t get the nomination. So, the Republicans go with HIM as the default now??? Yuk
Because the elite, both Demorats and Republicans, feel he won’t cut off their gravy train or make any substantial changes in the status quo.
This is the reason elites of both parties hate Sara Palin so much.
Romney is safe only because he's run before and is not controversial except for the base. He's inoffensive. He's establishment.
I have no reason to believe he can provide the leadership needed.
Pawlenty did serve two terms as governor. He could've run again, but why? He decided to run for POTUS when his second term ended in Jan.
The Democrats like him......as a Republican candidate.
Tired of “safe” “electable” Rino’s! One word McCain! If Romeny is the Republican standard bearer then Conservatives lose either way
I’m glad you brought this out, and I wish there were more threads exposing Romney’s weaknesses, and liberalism.
There are more threads criticizing Perry, than there are about Romney, and Romney is worse. I’m not a Perry supporter, either, but we need the focus more on getting Romney out of the race, imo.
