US congressional candidate addresses Caldwell County Republicans - offers solutions to economic woes

Lenoir, N.C., September 15, 2011---2012 congressional candidate Dr. Dan Eichenbaum spoke before the Caldwell County Republican Party Tuesday evening at the Caldwell County Public Library in Lenoir. Standing before members, Eichenbaum said, "We are in the midst of a battle for the soul of our nation between Progressive Statists who deny the rights of the individual and those of us who desire to live as free individual citizens with Natural Law rights derived from God, not government, guaranteed to us by our Constitution and the Bill of Rights. We are at a fork in the road in our country. Both parties in Washington want to take that fork and put it together—it’s called compromise, and in this case it doesn’t work."

Eichenbaum says the government continues to spend money to buy votes to say in power. “We have an incumbency problem in Washington that has got to end. People like you and me must stand by what we believe in now if we are to secure liberty and prosperity for future generations. Eichenbaum says he self-imposed term limits by signing a legally binding bonded term limit pledge with the national organization Alliance for Bonded Term Limits, fiscally obligating him to keep his promise.

Eichenbaum talked about solutions to a struggling economy, “Taxes are outrageous. We must reform a tax code that punishes achievement and redistributes income. We must lower the corporate, personal, and capital gains tax rates drastically if we are to compete in the world market. We must also reduce the onerous avalanche of regulation about to come down on us from Washington so that businesses will start hiring."

Republican stalwart Hellen Poole said, “Our community college is so valuable. We’ve got to give businesses a reason to come to Caldwell County with tax breaks.” Caldwell County Republican Party Chair Phil Ingle said, “We want a fiscal and social conservative. We want someone who respects and follows the constitution.”

Eichenbaum thanked the Caldwell County Republican Party for allowing him the opportunity to share his platform and finished his address to applause and standing ovation.

Dr. Dan Eichenbaum has been a successful small business owner and physician for 35 years. He graduated from the Yale School of Medicine and served as a commissioned naval officer during the Vietnam era. Eichenbaum, a grass-roots activist, stood for election to Congress in 2010, winning a majority of the counties in the 11th District in a six-man Republican primary. He, and his lovely wife Rhonda, live outside Murphy North Carolina on their farm.

You write about yourself in the third person both in the “article” and on your profile page.

This may be indicative of a serious mental disorder.
